Dont Get To Hype About The Cotto Fight

Everyone knew Gomez was a bum before hand, seems like people are forgetting who Cotto has faced prior to Gomez, when he beats Maragrito he will have basically cleaned up the division bar Mayweather, maybe he will have to beat De La Hoya at one point too.

 

But wasn't Judah the same guy boxing fans where toting as the faster fighter and the guy who could beat Mayweather when they faced off? So he's a formidable opponent when fighting Mayweather and not Cotto? Be real, and as far as the comment about Sugar Shane being way, way, way past his prime, that just shows your lack of boxing knowledge, Shane Mosley is STILL a top 5 welteweight and not THAT far removed from what he was capable of in his prime. I can only see 3 welterweight that can beat him right now, Mayweather, Quintana and Cotto who's already beaten him. Let me ask you this, what welterweight fighter has a better resume than Cotto? other than of course Mosley.

 

Let's not leave out the great Hatton too, because we all know Cotto HAS to knockout all of Floyds leftovers and he's still not good enough to step in the ring with Mayweather right??? People need to stop keeping Mayweather's throne warm til he decides to step in the ring with a REAL WELTERWEIGHT!!!

 

PBF fighting Judah was a sham. I mean the guy had lost to Stinks, arguably to Pineda, and to Baldomir and yet PBF fought him anyway. Judah will always have a punchers chance as he proved in the Stinks rematch but he is very overhyped and is a stepping stone in the WW div.

The fact that Mosley and PBF declined to fight Margarito means something. And the fact that Cotto isn't calling out Margarito or PBF also means something. It means that the WW is still acting like a bunch of girls not fighting each other. There is one man who is willing to take on anyone in that division and that is Margarito. Cotto I'm sure will fight anyone his pimp, I mean his daddy, I mean Arum tells him too, but that doesn't help the division. PBF is after money, and rightfully, he is in his 5th weight class and has paid his dues. Mosley is an old man and I'm sure any elite can beat him at this point.
