Sadly, Maidana knows that there's no other fight out there for him that could generate the amount of money and attention a rematch with Mayweather will, so he accepted. Mayweather knows this which is why he decided to demand something in his favor.

 

The last Floyd fight was better than any Floyd fight in recent memory, Maidana hasn't got the name value of Canelo but Floyd fought Canelo and it was a garbage non competitive schooling which bored the masses.

You say Maidana isn't a threat, yet he won more rounds vs Floyd than his last 2 opposition combined. What is the problem?, you want a bigger name vs Floyd?, you got that with Canelo and it was awful, at least with Maidana you have a fighter who has given Floyd a good fight already and i expect another hard fight in the rematch.

These big name fighters you would prefer over Maidana might lose every round in a borefest for all you know, with Maidana i'm pretty certain it will be an entertaining fight, at least for a Floyd fight.
