In the days leading up to this fight I've read and read and read, and 9 times out of ten it's an article, or a so called professional expressing there personal feeling for Mayweather. This fight has brought them all out, and it has hit it's peak. Foreman, Arum, Steward, ***** ass Scoop and so on show there un-profesionalism by being so shallow!

Well sry guys, no matter how much you hate the kid he's great, and you all know this, and that's why you feel so compelled to make your voices known when it comes to him. I see it as guys who are just jeolous of the heights he's reached in this sport his way and w/out being Phony! They hate that's he's not a yes man! They hate that he's still undefeated! They hate that he's brash, and arrogant! They hate that he speaks his mind and says **** they want to say but are and were to scared to say publicly! He shows off and he's flashy! Sooooo what!!! Can I tell you that all those guys and all his fans can get on Hatton's back, and it still won't help him one bit when that bell rings!:nono

Mayweather's going to beat the brakes off of Hatton, and when he's done I hope he retires for good! As much as I like watching him fight I'd rather him give it all up and leave it behind. There's enough guys to make plenty of noise, but none more skilled, more intriguing, interesting, and no-one they want to see beat more!:nono Don't let them Win Floyd. Leave them asking themselves who had the best shot at beating you. Leaving that in the back of there head while they try and figure who now is the best in the sport. Leave them wishing you had stayed when some supposed beast comes along KOing ppl, and they say to themselves "Floyd Mayweather would've beat em" or just wishing you were still around to see what you would have done fighting them! You're not appreciated enough to stick around age, and lose because you're skills and speed have deminished. You're accomplishments and skillset alone puts you in the conversation w/the ATG's and that's why they constantly compare you to them so why bother sticking around? They like to dismiss you against them, but if they honestly didn't feel you had a shot they wouldn't even mention it. We don't here names like Margarito verse the greats, or Gatti, or Cotto, and rarely are names like Oscar, Hopkins, and Mosley mentioned. Only God and History Judges you, not a bunch of guys who hate you, or your style! Those guys have an agenda, and none of it involves something, or anything positive when it comes to you!:nono

As much as they hate you, they will miss you like crazy. Hates a strong word, and it's sad that it the only word to use when you describe most of your detractors. Hates for the envious, pathetic and weak minded ppl! They're gonna hate you til you lose, except no one can beat you at the moment. So while they're hating, and looking for the next guy they think can defeat you leave them hanging and retire and Undeafeated Champion. How many guys do that while climbing threw 5 weightclasses? None!! No matter what names they throw at you, and who they said you didn't fight it won't stop the fact that you are very accomplished, and will go down in history for them! You didn't go and win Bogus Belts or Vacant belts. You fought the guy who was considered the division, and Ring Magazine Champion who would fight you and you won! You could've been Ring Magazine Champion in 4 weightclasses had you not been avoided at 140lbs, but that's not your fault!:nono You are more than accomplished, and don't need to do anymore if you don't want to. You're legacy is cemented and history will Judge you. You can call yourself the best that ever did it, because frankly who didn't? If you didn't have that kind of confidence you wouldn't be where you are today. 30yrs old, and not another fighter in history can say they did what you did by that age so as long as you love yourself, who cares about a haters love, or respect. You have a family, all the $$Money$$ in the world and ppl dear to you, and in the end that's all you need!

If you have more fights in you than do so, but whatever you do,...Don't let them Win. Retire at a young age, undefeated w/all those accomplishments and they can't help but place where they don't want to, but have no choice to!!

I didnt read your entire post, but I think something that adamamt Floyd supporters seem to refuse to look at is his own doing in regards to his reputation. He has rubbed many boxing fans, writers, and ex fighters the wrong way.

If you choose to disregard this, and just believe that everyone is "hating", your missing a part of the equation. And yes, on the other side of the coin, there are many haters who may be using his comments or behaviour to discredit him completely, and they are equally wrong.

i recently read a post by a guy who actually knows him and those around him and therefore has much more credibility on this subject. i dont know who is weaker those haters that you are calling out or those lovers who act like they know him and try and use his name to make themselves feel better about how they themselves behave. i think they are both equally as weak.

 I agree with your assesment that Mayweather is a unique and special talent.

In fact, imo the only fighter out there today that imo stands a legit chance of beating him is the fighter he's facing today.
Hatton imo has the strenghth, determination, ability to take punishment and mindset to see a fight plan all the way through.

......if Mayweather easily goes through Hatton, Cotto certainly is'nt going to do any better.

.....but as far as "dont let them win Floyd!".....   Mayweather craves the spotlight more than Ali, Ray Leonard, etc......Mayweather will stick around just like most of the rest of the greats and get his ass caved in ......if not sooner, then later!

Its etched in stone.....greats that dig the spotlight, stick around way too long....its not going to be any different with Floyd Mayweather!

Acb's right. There are a lot of people that don;t like Mayweather, and the reasons given in the first post only gloss over the surface of why most don't like him. Its okay not to like classless braggarts. Most don't.

I wouldn't ask Floys to be any other way. It's his right to act like an ass, just as it's my right to dislike him for it. Doesn't make me a hater.

    Well said acb!

I'm certainly one that would like to see Mayweather lose, but am concious of the fact that whatever anyone says.....the man is a great, great fighter.....with the ability to reach heights that no one in boxing has ever achieved.

I dont like Mayweather, but I enjoy watching him fight.
.....and I for one, if Mayweather happens to make Hatton look like an amatuer as many expect.....I'd be willing to admit as a boxing fan that Mayweather at the very least would be a 50/50 proposition against any all-time great you can name, and significantly more than that against most all-time greats.

You can dislike a fighter and root against him, but still recognize his greatness!

I don't understand how people can diss Floyd's accomplishments with a straight face.

5 titles in 5 different weight classes is no joke.

Well said also...... .....If Hatton brings the tools to the table that are the right ones to beat Floyd, you're right, there is'nt a damn thing that Mayweather will be able to do about it if its Hatton thats got his number......and vice versa with Ricky Hatton. It works both ways!:yep

He better retire after Hatton cuz if Cotto gets his hands on him, Mayweather will have 1 loss by way of KO.

no one outside of haters denies the guys talent. he is a gifted guy with the opportunity to be great. but you also cant deny that a lot of his hardcore fans really overhype the guy. i understand that the type of guy floyd is attracts a lot of people from similar culture which is all about the hype. but be aware that a lot of people also see through all that bs.
