Yeah, the loss against Trout makes Cotto look very weak .. just compare how Trout was destroyed by Canelo and Lara. Or what about a Trout rematch?

in fairness the trout fight was a lot closer than most had it

hard to ge motivated for austin trout to be honest.

Cherry picking, catch weights & timing who to fight at various points in their careers...it's sad.


When REAL FIGHTS happen everyone watches...and there is no debate about the 'greatness' or quality of the win. Cotto Martinez just doesn't mean **** to me personally...lol. I think it is kind of sad that Cotto sees this as the best single moment in his career...

This win means nothing to me. Nothing. Cotto obviously beat a crippled Martinez. Everyone knows a healthy Martinez who is able to move in and out (which is his trademark) would take Cotto out.

 

naah, i gotta give cotto credit. i think that cuban trainer ****ed up by trying to make him into something different instead of focusing on his strong points. i still dont thing he can beat the best middles, but i think he can make it exciting and competitive.

 

Sergio was much more sluggish and his moves on his feet were limited. He was not able to slip punches or moves at the knees as he normally would. From the opening bell i said. "Oh ****".

 

i agree. i just commented on the rbr thread that a fight between cotto(puerto rico) and canelo(mexico) on september 16 weekend for the lineal middleweight title doesnt even need a build up. its a guarranteed sell out on every market. cotto about to get paid.
