Martinez' knees were gone, he will retire. Martinez refused to fight Golovkin for a reason. He knew this was his last fight...............Pac stopped Cotto, made a bloody mess of him................Golovkin Vs. Cotto in the works, but will it happen? Golovkin will fight Geales next, his camp in in talks with Soliman who beat Sturm, title unification............

Cotto was so magnificent in defeating a prime Martinez that he should have no problem in defending his newly won crown against a well deserved challenger such as Golovkin.

That's laughable. A prime Martinez stops him, or wins a solid UD.

He should fight him. If he doesn't fight Tripe G, Canelo, Pacquiao, or possibly rematch Trout, he should retire.

We'll never know. Cotto has gone up and down as well. Depending on which version of Martinez you put against which version of Cotto, I think either guy could win.
