None of his fights since moving to HW have been all that exciting. The Valuev fight was one of the worst title fights in history: Haye set a record for low punch output.
Real women don't want a boyfriend who cries during rom coms, worries about breaking a nail and drinks alcopops. They want a guy who watches sports, can put up a shelf/unblock a sink, drinks pints and will put her in her place if she is out of line
Excitement by its very definition requires competition, a back and forth. So, what you're really asking is when was the last time Wlad was in a competitive fight. Probably five years ago.
Haye got knocked around a bit himself, but it wasn't an exciting fight. Mediocre at best. Haye was more exciting as a cruiserweight; since moving up, he's been mediocre to poor.
It was more interesting than Klitschko's snooze fest fight against Sultan Ibragimov.. the fight that was supposed to reignite the heavyweight division and prove to America that Europeans heavyweights aren't slow, boring, technical, safety first (second and third) fighters.
Yeah thats why so many women Fancy eccentric guys like Johnny Depp then lol You have to be taking the **** with that lol SO FUNNY
doesn't have to be competitive was floyd vs gatti competitive? nope but floyd put on a damn entertaining show! what about cotto vs quintana? one sided as it gets but it was exciting as ****.
No, it really wasn't...they were both boring fights. The only difference what they Wlad at least tried to make the Sultan palatable.
I was in attendance at MSG for Sultan-Wlad, and I make no excuses for Wlad. Even the Russians and Ukrainians (by my estimate 2/3 of the house) were very upset at the end. It reminded me of Lennox-Tua, actually. Very few sparks. I don't agree that Haye's fight against Valuev was better, though. It was just as bad, maybe even worse considering the fact that Haye hardly threw any punches. How did Chagaev look so much better than Haye against the giant? You'd think Haye would be the more aggressive of the two.
I diagree. I didn't find Gatti vs. Floyd entertaining at all. It was a one-sided drubbing that could be spotted from a mile away. Unless you're a sadist, fight fans usually don't enjoy onesided beatings. In fact, when Holmes destroyed Randal "Tex" Cobb, Howard Cosell, who had been the sports biggest advocate, walked away from boxing. Personally, I find nothing entertaining in one-sided beatings.
