In this era when have you seen an elite fighter just announce they're retirement and then not make an attempt to come back?

This is the GoldenBoy we're talking about ... and Hatton has only lost two fights ... even alot of the greats come back after 2 defeats ... I don't know how fighters can get written off after losing only two fights ... a large majority of the great fighters in the history of boxing have lost 1 or 2 fights ... its never over that easily.

 But even De La Hoya @ ringside is worth at least second billing on a "Latin Fury" PPV.

They always come back !! ... give it some time ... people will be wanting DLH to return ... he says he still in shape and at his natural weight (fighting wise)

OK. You guys have it covered. I may have to put the thread starter on my ignore list. I usually reserve that for people that seem to think respect is over rated, but I may make an exception for idiocy in this case. How obvious was it that Oscar just doesn't belong at 147? Ricky at 154? At least he wouldn't have to wear the "fatton" suit and give up the Guiness during training. :patsch

Unless Ricky would be willing to go up to 154, I don't see the fight happening. Not only that, at that weight, Oscar would kill him with one left hook. Considering how bad Ricky looked in his last performance, I doubt they would be interested in making this fight.

4 years ago, when DLH was still somewhat close to his prime, he would kicked pac's ass.

if the money is right (which is will be) those two will fight ... it doesn't matter about how many times they lose ... their fan bases are very loyal ... how long was it before Barrera came back, Morales is making a come back, JCC made a come back, SRL made a come back ... Thomas Hearns was still boxing in the 2000 era ...

Feel free to bump this thread if the fight happens, otherwise, let it die like it should and we will forget your idiotic notion sooner.

If thats how you feel stop posting ... if you know boxing, you know that this fight isn't out of the question _ thats why you said bump the thread if this fight happens.

You know somewhere in the back of your mind that this is a strong possibility ...
