I know most of you guys on these boards don't give Valero much of a chance against Pacquiao but i'm going to stand alone and say that Valero has much more than a punchers chance. He's just as fast as Pac ... naturally strong, maybe even stonger than Pac ... He doesn't need the accumulation to set in - he can knockout a man or change the course of a fight with one punch. Yeah he has technical flaws but i'm 100% sure that he would tighten up his skills against Pac - in such a big fight.

I've been saying this for a long time ... I like both guys but i'm sure that Valero's power can carry him up to junior welterweight with no problem.

    I seen on here the other day a thread saying "who's scared of 24 W - 0 L ... 24KO's ...

My response to that is that you don't have to be scared of the power but one thing you must do is respect it.

Valero is a very skilled guy in his own right and will show that if he and Pacquiao should ever lock up.

He almost went to the olympics representing Venezuala and i'm sure that he has the tools considering that he's a reigning world champion.

    All comments welcome !!

First of all, of course a puncher has a chance, so I respect that. The main thing going against him is that hes not mixed in this class. You also say he could "tighten up" for a big fight as if its an easy thing. Trying to get boxers to change after doing something a certain way & being succesful with it is a difficult thing. I wish Valero luck should he take the fight but I feel the odds are stacked against him.

I said I personally would give him more than a punchers chance ... I'd give him a HW punchers chance.

How would the odds be stacked against him? ...

Well he hasn't the variety Manny brings, however, he will be given chances. You cant say he has a heavyweight punches chance until you have seen him fight at a higher weight.

I meant in the sense where during a HW fight ... the guy could be getting dominated the whole fight and then change things in his favor with one punch.

Lets not get it confused Manny is still Manny ... he was able to do more things against Diaz because Diaz was alot slower than he is ... I don't think against a guy who's just as fast and younger he would open up with the same punches he did against Diaz.

You can't even spell, and your font style is ****ed up.
Pac KTFO Valero, he's way too green and raw to trade with a formidable Pacquiao.

I agree with you there. Manny would not be able to leave himself open against someone who hits as hard as Valero. Is this fight definitely happening then?

He would once he saw all the openings Valero is going to leave him.

Valero has power, that's a universal agreement. That said it's also universally known that he's supremely untested against B quality opponents and is nowhere near ready to face off against the p4p #1.

I didn't know this was a spelling contest - genius

How do you know what Valero is capable of if he and Pac never fought?

Valero punches to wide. Pacman will have a field day with his straight left. Valero's been down against Mosquera aswell who's not a noted punch and Pac hits as hard as anyone p4p, I'd seriously worry for Valero's safety.

Thats what makes this fight so intriguing.....PAC is suppose to win by all means b/c of his experience and domination...but with a guy like Valero...Bob was absolutely correct, Edwin is Pac mos "Dangerous" foe to date. He's young, Strong, Hungry and he is a good boxer. The POWER is what is so dangerous about Valero and at any given moment he can land a bomb and put PAC on his Ass or worse.....Pac could be taking a canvas nap if he isn't careful.

    PAC By KO!
