The amount of pressure on this kid leading up to this fight must have been tremendous, As cool as he appears on the outside the hype and expectations on him were astronomical, Stepping up from the likes of Eric Molina to Wladimir Klitschko in front of 90k thousand people not truly knowing weather its a step to far or if you are really ready takes some major self belief and balls. He looked nervous, scared and on edge during the first half of the fight, having never been on such a big stage against an ATG fighter, I don't care who you are if you take on such a challenge in your 19th fight its going to effect your ability to perform to some extent. AJ will learn a **** load from this fight.
Right. AJ in now more experienced than many fighters with 30-40 fights. What has he learned from the last fight: - How to perform in front of your 90 000 fans - How not to crumble when you're knocked down hard and badly hurt - How to come back in the later rounds and win the fight - And how it's to fight an A-level fighter (old, but still) when your previous opponents were B-level at best
Right. Skillset. plus, the ability to dig deep and the ability to alter things in the course of a tough fight. And, the guy can handle pressure. Usually the olympic champs can but handling 90,000 fans in a big pressure bout is a huge advantage he has over competition now.
He really did dig deep. Not sure what round it was when he started talking to Wlad took a shot and seemed to say thats not going to stop me. Massive credit
