I'm big hater of Floyd but I hate even more, the boxers, who complain that the other fighter was running. For god sake, its called Boxing.. Not wrestling.

    • Pacman called Bradly a runner and did not fight toe to toe
    • Ruslan called Algieri a runner and did not fight toe to toe
    • So many fighters calling the other a runner and whining about not fighting toe to toe..

I mean, if you don't know how to cut the ring then that means you don't know. It dose not mean the other is running..

THIS IS BOXING.. MOVEMENT IS A PART OF BOXING.. THIS IS NOT WWE..

There's a clear difference between moving and being light on your feet and 'running'.

One is used to avoid getting hit, and the other to avoid the fight altogether.
At some points Floyd was being a mover, at other points he was simply running.
There's no question about round 12. That's called running.

I'm an amateur boxer myself. I know what a movement is and a running is.

12th round he was clearly running and evading. But that is acceptable since on the 12th round the fighter who is clear lagging on points will come with wild swings. Swings which aren't even boxing punches. It is good to evade when the other fighter is desperate for a KO.

With just the 12th round, the whole fight cannot be labeled as running.

I REPEAT, I'M BIG PAC FAN AND HATE FLOYD TO THE CORE BUT THAT DOSE NOT MEAN I AGREE TO WHAT CHINO OR PAC OR RUSLAN SAYING WHEN THE CALL THE OTHER A RUNNER..

Fighting Toe to Toe, my foot, cut the ring and stop whining about not getting a Toe to Toe fight..

Maidana was just frustrated and bitter, nothing new there.

I don't know man.. I just do.. You know, in life, you will hate some people and you don't have a reason for it.. You just hate them.. Same way man..

He is one of the greatest boxer, for sure.. The way he beat Canelo, that changed the way I saw him.. He will beat Pacman for sure if they fight now, in my opinion, but I want him to take that fight..

    It's worse. It's called running and clinching/holding.

Are you denying that floyd clinched/holds every 10-15 seconds of the fight? And watch round 12 and tell me if that is not running.

A lotta haters on this forum will call anything running if the other guy is using ring genership and movement to defeat his opponent. But I'm guilty of the same thing sometimes...because I look at a guy like maidana utilizing head movement and trying to slip floyd's' counters and I think to myself "why did he duck the punch? is he scared of floyd's punch? Don't duck!..just take it and keep after him."

Yeah, I hear you man but you know hate is a strong emotion to feel for someone that you don't really know. I'm not gonna try and pass judgement on you because you are your own man but just think about that word hate and you might just realize that you just strongly dislike some of things he does. Peace.

Not all fights are created equal Mayweather-Canelo/Algeri-Provo is boxing Mayweather-Maidana II rd12/Canelo-Lara rd5 onward is running.

If a fighter is using movement to avoid being trapped while catching his opponent with crisp shots it's on you to adjust. At the same time if a fighter is flatout not engaging that's running and no amount of skill can counter a guy determined not to fight.

You seem like a pretty reasonable fellow. How can you hate someone who has absolutely no real impact on your life? I don't understand that. I can understand not liking Mayweather but hate? I don't think I hate anyone, let alone some boxer that I have never met. I don't even hate Margarito and I think he is the foulest boxer of this generation.

I'll respond to that because I don't agree with it. Floyd did grab his ass when he needed to but it wasn't every 10 or 15 seconds and on top of that, it was a smart move. It helped win him the fight. In round 12 he did indeed run but the fight was won and he knew it, Plus Maidana rocked his ass in fourth and he didn't wanna give him another shot like that, which is also smart because it's about winning. You might not like it but you gotta live it cause it won't change.
