The berto fight would be the best option. He could unify titles whilst beating an undefeated young lion.

You're talking about a philippino dude who borders on 5'5" tall, has a very limited reach, and has established his career fighting small mexicans.

Clottey is the biggest he should go, even that was pushing it.

If Berto fights and beats Mosley then it does make sense.

But we're talking record pay day for anyone pac chooses. They need to be deserving.

He has many disadvantages but he also has many advantages other his potential opponents, such as speed, power, e.t.c.

TBH I'd rather see Pac have a go with Shane over Cotto and Margo. I don't expect Shane to win but with that chin and speed, he isn't a good matchup for Pac and it would be interesting to watch.

I also think PWilly is ripe at 147. Whoever gets him first, Mayweather or Pac, will beat him up and will get a lot of credit for it. I know you disagree, but I don't see much from him other than his physical attributes. Bad d, sloppy o = long night against elite guys.

Cotto is not deserving for a rematch. Neither was clottey. Margo is not deserving. Neither was a potential Yuri forman. Berto is just as deserving as all these other boxers.

Yeah, but he doesn't even have to do anything but step away to keep his chin safe.
Pac shoots most of his combos when the opponent is leaning back or down, PW doesn't lean down to block shots (when he actually does block).

It would just be an awkward sloppy fight with a bunch of pac lunging and a bunch of Pdub grabbing and sticking/moving.

Plus they are both south paws, which I would rather gouge my eyes out than watch.

    Clottey was not deserving?
He was one of the most deserving WW's.

Just because he sucked in the fight, doesn't mean he was POS before hand. He was quite dangerous and pretty well avoided.

    You really believe that?

Clottey has failed time and time again to capitalise on opportunities that has come his way. He did this with Margarito and he did this with Cotto. Both fights he could have won with a bit more effort.

I believe Berto is just as much deserving as clottey was. Also the fact that he had to resign from his biggest fight to date which would have been shane mosley.

All of Clottey's losses were debatable.

My point with Berto is, he will get smashed by Pacquiao and then get written off.
He needs more cushion behind his name or he'll end up being an opponent.

i believe clottey was a solid fight at welter..cotto and margarito were competitive fights(alot of people think clottey beat cotto) but pac just dominated him.anyone who doesn't give credit for that win shouldn't be listened to.
