Floyd wanted the Tszyu fight...couldnt get done...Showtime and HBO...Plus floyd didnt have the demand nor did Tszyu to get it made with a type of co-promotion deal as Tyson and Lewis did

Enough with this "everyone wanted.." stuff. No, not everyone wanted that fight. The moment Zab lost, Floyd should have gone to someone else.

 

Can't argue with that.

 

In a way, it's good that everyone stays in Floyd's ****. It prevents him from resting on his laurels. He's accomplished a lot in this sport. However, as long as he continues to fight at a high level, he needs to be fighting the biggest fights available. There's only a few guys in the sport with any real name recognition. Floyd is one of them. Boxing needs its big stars to participate in the biggest fights. The Marquez fight was a good tuneup. However, there are no more freebies. The fight with Pac definately needs to happen this year. If it can't be made next, then he needs to fight Mosely next and then Pac at the end of the year.

 

He signed a contract...u dont sign contracts and than back out...Plus who else was there to fight around that time at 147?? I believe Shane was at 54 with Vargas....Oscar was still at 54 as well and Floyd was chasing him... Tony was tied up with Gomez....

Zab was supposed to fight Floyd in November which ended up not happening cuz of the mandatory in Baldomir....
