Don't You Want Rounds In A TUNEUP?

    Use logic. A tuneup when off for over 16 months should get more rounds in for a fighter. FLoyd was in no hurry to take out Ortiz.
    For him to take the cheap shot he knew Victor was getting to him more than expected.

    Mosley landed 18 power shots in the first 4 rounds.
    Ortiz landed 26 or 28 in the first 4 rounds.

    Ortiz had more energy and was getting busier before Floyd looked for the eject button.

    You know you might have something there... Instead of Mayweather trying to showcase his greatness to the world, Ortiz's punches might have hurt the Pretty One and he thought **** this **** I'm going to take this stupid kid out now... :smoke

    That's what I was thinking. He didn't get in any rounds after a near 2 year layoff and if he goes into a Pac or Martinez fight, he's toast.

    Floyd could not get the jab going. He landed very few which is why Ortiz had him moments.

    He barely grazed Mayweather, who was smiling at him while slipping all of those terribly wide follow up shots. Ortiz headbutted him (this the third time) out of frustration, not because he was landing anything solid.

    If Ortiz really thought he had him he would have just kept punching (like he did with Berto.) Notice he felt no need to headbutt Berto.

    You were the main one who was running around saying Ortiz was a major threat to Floyd. Now that he got humiliated and KO'ed in 4 rounds after a mental breakdown, now all of a sudden it's a TUNEUP???:rofl:rofl:rofl

    Floyd's a joke. This was a victory in itself. The lowest ring iQ boxer had Floyd looking for a way out. Think he will ever face Pacquaio ? No shot.
    If the fight continued Victor would have knocked him TFO bitches! 666

    Just admit Victoria was opening Floyd up like a clam before Floyd took the easy way out, but wait that is what he always does.

    I actually agree with you. Floyd was gonna beat him anyways, and the fight was nothing more than a tuneup. On the other hand, however unlikely to win, Ortiz was still dangerous and Floyd opted to get rid of him soon as possible.

    You could have just made a thread saying "I hate Floyd Mayweather Jr." We would have understood, you dislike the guy who cares, he ko'ed Ortiz like he said he would...with a knot the size of a golf-ball behind his head, a split lip inside and out, I wouldn't want to go anymore rounds with the ***** either, next Floyd would have had a badly cut eye or had his ear bitten off, its a good thing he knocked that ***** out when he did or he would have took major damage from a man who was trying to foul his way to victory...

    Like Floyd. Just like boxing a lot more. Would have been nice to see a fair fight as I stated leading up to the fight I thought it was one of Floyd's tougher fights due to the circumstances and we got robbed from seeing the rest. Ortiz's weight and agression could have made the rest of the fight interesting and even though Floyd was landing Ortiz took his best Flush shots (during real fight) and kept on truckin.

    Yes. When Floyd saw how dirty the fight was getting, why be concerned with "getting in rounds".

    The "w", and personal safety became the main concern. Hell, "people" are saying that Ortiz was winning the fight.

    Floyd was not going to allow himself to fall victim to that shite.

    He KO'd Ortiz when his hands were down because he knew there was no ****in way he could do it with Ortiz's hands up. He landed his best and Ortiz took em well. Justify it all you want but it was another escape from a tough fight.
    Floyd lands jabs at 40% connect rate he was barely pushing 10-12% here. He already threw a lot of punches and was tiring and feeling the stress of Ortiz's weight and youth.
