    As regards equipment:

Is 150 euro too much to pay for a four foot leather adidas bag?

You got pics, let me see them...it thats about 50 US each or so..so I would say it is a little bit high...don;lt like leather bags...they don;t bread as well as nylon bag...specially for all the sweety stuff you constantly put on the bags...do you have "gloves dogs" deodorizers you might need them

how much importance do you place on each aspect of core training and roadwork - anaerobic and aerobic? what I'm speaking of is a 5-mile run and a 1-mile interval session; some weighted twists and 100 sit-ups.

No need to explain...I know what you are talkinga bout:

Roadwork, it is very important to keep to conditioning and stamina...it is the bread and water of any boxer..stamina...without it you are done...it equates to conditioning....

Now, I like to mix the road work with the sprints, after the road work I like to do sprints usually 20 reps at 100 meters, ten forward and 10 back to the starting line after a shor revocery period (1 minute) so you sprint 100 meters, recover for 1 minute and back 100 meter, 10 reps..then I like to do what I call calf and thigh work, running backwards for a mile or so....this will help you aerobicali and anaerobically...

sittups is something you should do on a daily basis, as push up and chin ups, these are basic oif any daily routine for a boxer...

as for weights, this is something you need to do litle weight with high reps, leaning the muscle and keeping flexibility, I like to do weights before sparring, or bag work....

    That's if you're at like 90-100% of your 1RM. Typically it's 4-6, I believe.

thanks. yeah, I've been doing sit-ups daily recently. I agree that push ups are essential, pull-ups maybe...they do build upper body stability. what about squats? or will running cover that area?

what our coach has us doing is 3-5 miles run with sprints every 10 or 20 seconds, we get to a set of long stairs and then we have to sprint up and down that 10 times after that its back to running, anyone who can't keep up gets left beind and no one wants to be left behind in the bushes at night.

    :huh

    no!

i meant we run for 3-5 miles, after about a mile and a half we come across a long set of stairs, we do sprints on them and then carry on running to finish off our run.
