I actually wouldn't mind seeing JDS vs Hunt, if only for the standup war. But I reckon Junior is too smart to play right into Hunt's hands by standing and trading with him. Cigano would either pick him apart from the outside, or take him to the ground, where Hunt's career shows he is not comfortable and is extremely vulnerable. Almost half his career fights have been submission losses, and I reckon JDS would take him to the ground and knock him back down to the .500 mark.

It's not the fight itself I'm against. I like Hunt and enjoy his fights. I just don't want to see a flabby guy with a .500 record and no wins over contenders get into a title fight.

The two best fights for Junior are unavailable. Cormier and Overeem. Those are the guys who should be challenging him. But we have to wait. While we're waiting, a Cain rematch seems the most competitive fight. If Hunt wants his shot, he should go and beat someone more dangerous than Kongo. :bart

Maybe. I only saw it as it aired, and I remember it as being more a temple shot than behind the ear. But I could certainly be wrong in the way I recall it. :good

Still, the point remains. Just because Junior laid him out in 1 minute the first time, doesn't mean Cain is no chance to compete with or defeat Cigano. :bart

And in any sport, it's always easier to handle these things once you've warmed to your task. But that's neither here nor there. Cain lost the fight. Still, he's done more to get back in a title fight than Hunt has. :yep

Cormier can't fight anybody for a few months because he's on medical suspension, and Overeem can't fight anybody because he's banned. Those are the two best fights out there. So Zuffa can't do whatever they want. The two best title challengers are off the table.

Cain tried to duck, then go with it, and it just made him land it more flush behind the ear.

I do believe it won't have any effect on the rematch.

Both guys were hurt, and it might have been best that the fight ended so quickly, because two heavies with knee injuries doesn't sound like a great fight if it goes any length of time.

If Cain can take him down, and do it over and over again, he's got this. If he can't, then he better learn how to move his watermelon head.

I'm guessing Dos Santos vs. Velasquez II will be on ppv? The first fight was on free TV so if they expect people to pay for this **** they better stack the co-main event and the undercard with some great fights.

Well that's what it comes down to, isn't it. Can Cain take him down and keep him down. If he can't then he's ****ed. But he's surely got a better chance of getting JDS on the floor than just about anyone outside of Cormier.

And, of course, then the question becomes, what happens if Cain CAN put Junior on his back? Will Junior's rumoured submission skills suddenly make their debut appearance? Will he have time to try anything with the relentless wrestle****ing and ground and pound that Cain will be imposing? :yep

I reckon it'll be a good fight. A lot of things could happen and it's tough to feel confident about predicting exactly how it will play out. Better than watching Hunt get beaten to a pulp while trying half-heartedly to land that perfect Hail Mary one-shot KO, anyway. :good

Thank you Haggis..I needed someone to point out that the sky is blue...

Next time, feel free to not answer anything because my comment clearly meant that BBF is Jesus and can heal wound... :nut:nut

EDIT: After rereading my post ***gis...you are ****in dumb and you can't read for ****...

How on earth did you think that I meant that BBF could resolve Overeem athletic commission problem and Cormier broken hand problem with that post ???

So by your own standard, Struve got caught by a lucky shot JDS and Nelson ? :think That explain everything...

As I've stated countless time...anything can happen in MMA...Cain can get starshed in less then 30 sec, and Hunt can win in less then 15...ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN IN MMA

    and Cain, and Lesnar...

What ? you mean like Brock Lesnar ?

Why do you keep bringing everything about yourself ? You are irrelevant in MMA...

Are you just dumb ? I'm not bitching, I'm stating a fact...nothing more, nothing less.

If fighter A hasn't beaten anyone and get a title shot, well in that case fighter B without beating anyone could get a title shot, simple has that.

What I want is to see new fight, JDS VS Cain II isn't a new fight

Depend on your definition of blemish...you keep forgeting Cain getting rocked twice by a sloppy striker in Kongo.

Yes by submission....if you wern't such a ****in ****ish ***** maybe we would have ended this tiresome argument...but no, you keep bumping from thread to thread with the same ****in BS and can't keep up with the argument...I went over all Hunt defeat but you must have missed it somehow...hard to keep up I know...

Again Lesnar...do you know what double standard mean ? Are you able to understand that you keep having double standard on this issue ? And can you understand that if Lesnar wouldn't have existed I wouldn't even argue with that ? ( Or that if BBF wouldn't have made some kind of titleshot freakshow...you know, the kind of fight BBF keep bringing about Fedor....you know BBF...the king of double standard)

Yep, how many time will I have to say it.

Dude if you don't like my opinion you can print it, roll it and shove it up your urethra for all I care, but FFS drop it...I'm not sure if you realise that I have been repeating the same ****in thing over and over because you can't ****in understand it...and after that you have the guts to ask why we loose our temper.

Are you that ****in oblivious ?

Big difference between you and me on this issue ***gis is that you consider Lesnar has a MMA figther and I consider him has a joke. Simple has that... !

Again are you ****in stupid or just blind ? He lost 5 time by submission....when is the last time we have seen JDS ground game ?

Again I've been over all Hunt loss in a previous post, but like I said earlier you are too ****in dumb to have seens it....

Thank you for your opinion that I consider worthless in this debate since you have proven several time that you are a double standard ****.

Now, are you going to keep answering my post with that same ****in BS so that I keep repeating my stuff and see who has the more patience ?

Yeah he still has a few months to get in shape but most professional fighters stay in shape even when they don't have a fight to worry about.

I know about his struggles with keeping weight off in the past. I have never seen him this overweight before which should be worrisome for BJ Penn fans. Rory is no slouch so if BJ thinks he is going to beat him with ease then he is in for a rude awakening.
