i finally managed to buy one, also, i've already got a nice hook in the ceiling plus barbell weights to secure the other one on the ground. with the double end bag there came two bungee cords which can not be adjusted in length, - they're too long. now what to do? an experienced friend tells me to only use one of them and that i should use a strap for regular bags (which can be adjusted in length) to connect the double end bag to the ceiling. i don't have a fitting one, though, and i don't know if buying one is really worth it. wouldn't it be better to have bungee cords on both sides? i then thought about just making a few knots to shorten it, but my girl told me that sooner or later the knots will destroy the whole cord. every body got an opinion, i'm confused. i then visited a few stores for sport necessities, tools, bikes etc... and NO WHERE they sell ordinary bungee cords that are SOLID and can be adjusted in length. even googling isn't getting me anywhere. so what now? just add some knots or where else to look?
You should be able to buy bunjee cord by the meter from a big diy store. I dont know if you have B&Q in germany but thats were I get mine from. Depending on how you set the bag up 10 meters lasts me about a year depending on how much you use it. I do about 5 rounds a day 5 days a week on mine. But your right in saying you can knot it to make it shorter. It wont damage it to much and to be fair they wont last last for ever anyway. I use the old type 56ibs weight for the bottom of the bag. the type from the real old weighing sets there like a big retangle with a bar to pick it up with but its olso real good to rap the cord around.
