I don't have a trainer - but need some advice please. I don't seem to get hitting the d/end ball correctly. It goes out in 45 degree angles instead of 90 degrees i.e. in and out. How can I remedy this?
    Thanks.

    Control it with your jab.

The double ended bag is about precise and accurate timing and placement with your punches. You have to hit that thing in the center of the bag to remain in control of it, I used to love working that thing. Start slow throwing easy punches on it. Once you feel that you have control of it then start throwing with more power. I know, hooks and it gets going all weird on you. You gotta time it correctly and bust it with a straight punch to get it back normal like, or just keep busting it with hooks.

The thing takes time to learn. Just some time, patience and persistence and you'll get it. Just like everything in the sport. Have fun man and don't get down on yourself about it in your mind. It'll just be in you one day and suddenly problem solved and your working the bag instead of trying to catch up with it.

Ps: Stand close enough to it so that you need to move your face after punching. Just like you're fighting, You could get some bloody noses by doing this doe. If you get knocked out by it you may want to take up golf. j/k but kind of serious too.

That thing was fun, just have fun with it. You'll find it.

It is fun hitting it! But thanks for the advice - its exactly why I asked because it goes all over the place and no chance of coming close to my face! However I will keep on training on it.
    ng it
