Stiverne tests positive for a banned substance,(a diuretic, that can also be used to mask other drug use) allowed to fight on and fined 75k. Still allowed to fight for the mandatory spot. They also came to this decision within days

Povetkin tests postive of meldonium( a recently banned substance) which its benefits are unproven. Fight is cancelled and takes the WBC 6 months to come to a decision over whats happening, after it is proved he did nothing wrong he is still stripped of he's mandatory position.

add to this that when povetkin tested positive this time the wbc called the fight off however when stiverne tests positive they didnt call the fight off or strip him

What ever you think of the whole situation you can't ignore that the WBC obviously have huge double standards and have shown extreme bias and are a comprimised organisation which need to be investigated

    WBC we be crooks.

And have you ever seen two fighters Wilder and Stiverne so eager to to give up a payday. These guys are on the plane home before their managers are off the phone giving them the update.

something about all this smells fishing, and how has it been that literally the day of the fight or a day before the news comes out? its like they are proposely trying to make the russians lose money on the shows.

but the wbc are a complete disgrace and need to be investigated, the double standards are insane

WBC is interested in discrediting Povetkin since his promoter Ryabinsky is suing WBC over the Wilder fight ruling. With that pending case WBC needs something to balance things up and to use it as leverage for negotiations.

It's very strange. Povetkin did admit to meldonium usage however it was legal forever and widely used by Russian athletes, the banning of it may have been political and now this. Povetkin is a dummy for going near anything that is on the banned list so I'm not absolving him but something is off here. Lot of anti-Russian sentiment by the American media lately, add the Kovalev robbery, the bigoted statement by Wilder that "Russians are a different breed and can't be trusted." Other forces could be at play obviously the WBC looks shamelessly biased here and hypocrital as usual. Totally corrupt organization.

This. He and Stiverne should know better. Food and water is all you need in a training camp. If you want to take supplements or need injections check with the commission before taking anything. When Pac wanted the lidocaine injection Roach checked with the commission and they were told no. Roach wasn't dumb enough to risk that payday over an injection.
