yeah but they had chance to fight some huge names in states as well.

I actually dont mean "fraud" with bad meaning. But they did not want to be the very best or even try. What I am trying to say I cant blame had they fought big names there and lose but at least they dared to be great and that it is all about(at least what I appreciate).:good

Calzaghe should get respect for what he did, and that is prolonged longevity, which is irrefutable, setting a record number of defences at SMW, and fighting world class opponents (Hopkins and Kessler) to briefly capture other belts.
As well as longevity he displayed awesome stamina and good chin plus incredible matchmaking/cherrypicking skills.

The incongruity of these feats is the problem. Such a long period but less actual time spent doing world level fearts than any of his contemparies.

Froch gets plenty respect in America but he ait no black man.

difference between froch and joe, Carl acts like a world champion from day 1 of winning his title. Joe acted like a Welsh champion.

Doug Fisher is another moron, it has nothing to do with nationality or race, specially in this case which is an italian blood based in Wales when history proved that there were many heroes italian blood based on american cities, LaMotta, Giardello, Marciano, and so on. Joe C is obviously athletic cause he and father Enzo went to Newbridge to do serious business training, doing hard road work, improving his punch speed with speed balls and hitting the bag fast and faster. The guy at some point could do 24 rounds! So he outlasted the guys who he could not stop... Still, he was unorthodox, still he had plenty of flaws, still he was fed with garbage from the WBO ratings and he proved himself against Lacy, Kessler and Hopkins. That's it.

Hard to get respect when the majority don't even know what he did and who he is.

I want Doug Fisher to expose to the World what they did to Joe Louis when he retired, not being able to play golf in a PGA tourney for being color, the IRS, the humiliation with the comercials and dancing shows, the addiction to cocain and the work he had to do as a porter in the Casinos in LV. Why Doug Fisher, a proud black man, doesn't tell the story of so many young brothers sent to the frontline in Vietnam. Why doesn't Doug Fisher tell the story of great champions who died in hospital beds in poverty such as Henry Amstrong?

If Joe fought the way he did and was an African American people would say he was on the down low.

You know you can be black and from Britain??

Roy Jones moved on before JC, hopkins avoided 168, he jumped straight to 175.

This is a classic right there. So Hopkins, at 41 years of age, totally avoided 168 in his move up due to fear of course(Lacy and Calzaghe were eagerly awaiting) and fought a P4P fighter who was highly regarded at the time and a massive favorite over Hopkins in Tarver. Makes sense alright. :good
