Actually, Fischer was high on Margarito well before that fight. C'mon dude, you were a 10yo die hard w/ highly extensive knowledge of Lewis and DLH back then, how could you not know this?

Shane got a lucky break in that fight. Marg whole camp was spent on cutting weight. He came in to camp almost 200lbs. Was coming off his biggest win treated like a rock star and was partying like one, very short break between the Cotto fight where both guys absorbed huge punishment and lingering damage.. Too quick of a turn around fight..

Oh bull**** on the idea that Williams turned down the rematch. The only objective evidence on this is the WBO denying Margarito's request for one, but Peterson says Margarito's side was the one that turned it down and that carries about as much weight as Diaz's claims.

What we do know for a fact is that Margarito wanted absolutely nothing to do with Williams after the Cotto victory (or at any time before that in 2008 ), electing instead to get the **** beaten out of him by a perceived-as-easier old Mosley.
