williams was whipping margarito's ass in the gym prior to margarito/santos. margarito was trying to ko him but they sent him home because he was holding his own. plus he fought for that number 1 spot against an undefeated KO artist named walter matthysse (lucas matthysse's older brother) if that's untested...ok. last i checked...anytime any man steps into a ring...he's taking a risk. margarito could have vacated...he chose to defend because that's what mexicans do.

Who is Doug Fisher, (does he date Ellie Suckback or something?) and why should I care about his delusional ramblings?

I don't know what you want? Williams and team clearly said no and no again to a rematch. I mean if you want documentation I don't have it.. I was just watching the fight live and watched the presser later.. Words were spoken, it was written..

In the post-fight presser Williams clearly says he'd give Margarito a rematch.

I heard something about sparring, mainly rumours.. he was green, and barely past prospect status...

if you are talking about immediately after the fight...u may be right.

at that time williams was gunning for cotto and mayweather. how was he to know that arum would block cotto and serve him up to margarito and mayweather would flat out duck him?

but again....down the line, williams offered margarito 4 mil for a rematch. margarito took 3 mil to face mosley instead. the rest is history.

yes. that's the one that matters. Marg gave Williams the shot, Williams wouldn't return the favor. he was shut down after that
