You can always spot the noobs on ESB...always asking for a source.

The thing about that is, if one isn't paying attention to the sport then, a source doesn't even tell the whole story. And if no source is provided, I guess it didn't happen? :think

I've always said, us message boarders just get a fraction of the truth about any particular topic from fighter or promoters. it's crazy the way some posters act as if EVERYTHING has a source or article around to confirm. atsch

 

Steve "Margarito is this era's Hagler" Kim is the biggest clown out there. He's no irrelevant that he needs to start Twitter wars lately for some much needed attention.

About Concreto/Williams, Arum never wanted that fight anyway and an immediate rematch was never going to happen. Arum already had Cotto in plan for Concreto despite losing to Williams as a "last shot" for him. He sure as hell wasn't going to ignore Arum again after what happened especially when his career was on the line. After the Cotto fight Concreto was officially called out by Williams only to get this response "Williams doesn't belong at welterweight! Move up in weight, this division isn't for you." That said, this entire case is expired and over with. Concreto hasn't been a relevant discussion since he was caught loading up. Only cabbies with Chavez Sr. avatars and keyboard trolls still discuss him here and there.

 

Wait, so we're just suppose to ignore the foreign object that was in his gloves??? He may have been caught and thank god but he committed the most pathetic acts in boxing...History will look at him according, a disgrace, a guy that hasn't a decent win since he was caught trying to load...no matter how many stans try to proclaim his innocence, he still hasn't given a clear answer as to why he had some harden, old pre-treated gauze inserted in his wraps...There is simply no excuse for that...What did he think he was gonna accomplish with loading...IMO, its to gain an advantage.

atsch That's not even what I am suggesting smart guy. You 'johnny-come-latelys' just need to accept the fact that not everything has some searchable or web source behind it. Too many here act as if EVERYTHING has an article behind it. That's too naive to believe...

 

He's very annoying- if you ever see Doug on interviews- he can't keep his trap shut to let somebody else talk

I've requested neutral sources for the claim that Williams ducked an immediate rematch or even turned one down, both the sorts of important and potentially damning claims you'd want verification for. The only source for such claims is Margarito's manager, who of course is certainly not such a neutral source and a person whose claims were directly and immediately contradicted by Williams' team.

 

After the fight, Margarito did ask for a rematch. It seemed that Williams and Goosen were looking to move on, which is their right to do. No problem with that.

But a rematch never happened. It wasn't until after Margarito beat Cotto, and became a hot commodity again, that Williams persued the rematch more aggressivley. They were essentially told by TR, "You didn't want to do a rematch earlier, but NOW that Margarito has options, you want one? Sorry....".

i've been on this board since '07 and others since '04. i've been involved in the sport of boxing since '79. been a fan longer than that. i'm not new to anything regarding boxing. it's ppl like u who talk out of ur ass and try to rewrite history to justify a known cheater who are bad for boxing.

his manager along with that bull**** ass site that gave him free p.r. also told lies prior to the fight about margarito dropping him in sparring to avoid having to defend against him. it's why you would never see an interview granted to that site by williams ppl. that same shitty site has now been banned from floyds camp for their usual bull****.
