Down To One: Klitschko Haters, Will Haye Save You?

Polstradamus predicts Chisora will be the next great thing after Haye is dispatched of!

 

Wlad will Ko Haye, have 8 more fights and win all them and finally retire. Vitali will have 3 more fights, win all of them, and retire. They will both go down as ATG monsters in the heavyweight division.

 

As a fomer haye fan ( to a degree), but now someone who hates his guts, i say yes he has a chance, he has to fight a perfect fight though, and hope he dont get tagged early by a huge jab in the face which could make him run around for the rest of the fight, like oh so many guys who claim there gonna smash them

I'd say this will be a boring fight, Wlads fights tend to be, jab, jab, hold, jab, jab hold, that guy is huge and he used to throw a lot more right hands until he got knocked out a couple times. That was a long time ago, but he never was exciting again. So yes his shear size and jab will win him the fight no doubt, but please throw a friggin' right hand on occasion, your the Ring champ, you can't get on Showtime or HBO because you're pathetically boring to watch, HW's are supposed to try and kill each other, this fight will be like watching dancing with the stars, there will be more hugging going on than anything, the ref is going to need to be in better shape than they are to break them all night. Boo on this fight, neither guy is willing to take any chances, its a horrible matchup, Vitali would have been a far better match, Haye would never take that. atsch

 

Yep, haters have yet another saviour up their worn-out sleeve. There's actually a full deck of yet undiscovered messiahs there, all waiting in the queue to be produced.

 

Was there anyone that actually believed the incredible blob actually stood a chance against Vitali?

 

I only dislike one Klitschko and that's Wladdy... and since his brother won't kill him for us then Haye really is my last hope because there's no one out there in this worthless sack of **** division who can challenge him otherwise.

 

If Wlad beats Haye I can't see 3 more legitimate fights in the division, never mind eight! :rasta

 

If you watch Haye's odd crouchy, hands low, style he's ripe for the type of clubbing hooked temple shot that unhinged Solis. That's apart from the massive jabs and doubled up rights Haye will need to get inside to make any inroads

 

Speaking of Steward, this is what he had to say about Vitali when interviewed by our very own On The Ropes radio program.

Q: Vitali Klitschko retired for several years before he came back to reclaim a portion of the heavyweight title. Does Vitali Klitschko still have time to be remembered as one of the greats?

A: I don’t think he’s going to enough time because even though he had his biggest claim to fame, and he tells me that and we laugh about it, he says, ‘The biggest thing that made me famous was losing to Lennox Lewis’, and he has still done nothing to really exceed that believe it or not still. It’s just a case of not having any fighters around for him to be the big name and the fact that he won’t be around long enough where you can say, well, he didn’t have any big name fighters but he had a reign for like five years or six years so you have to give some credit for that even though he fought a bunch of nobodies, but I don’t think he’s going to have that long of a career and that many big heavyweight championship fights to really reach that level. So I don’t think he’s in a good position to be considered a great yet, but who knows. He still may have a fight, you never know. He could end up with a high profile fight with David Haye possibly himself, or Nikolai Valuev with two of the biggest men ever. That would definitely be fights that would really be standouts in his career when people look back at him, but right now he would need about two more years to continue if he just dominated over these types of guys.

Klitschko praise that never ends? Steward seems to think Vitali won't be remember as a true ATG HW because he doesn't have that defining standout fight/moment in his career. Even Vitali recognizes that he's best known for losing to Lennox Lewis. Is Steward a hater or is he just being realistic? What is your idea of Vitali retiring in glory? Beating Haye and going off in the sunset? Do you rank him as a top 20 ATG HW? Most experts and fans like Steward don't.
