Junior Tszyu set to fight a couple of times in the next couple of months.

The Kiwi is the right type of opponent for him. Someone with decent skills & no power.

Lucas Browne v Alex Leapai? Yeah sure. Bring it on.

It would give the winner a boost & probably get them another decent fight.

 

For sure. Good luck to Joseph Parker.

Would be great to see a Kiwi standing on top of the world (kind of).

Let's hope he gets himself into the fight at least.

If he does, things could get interesting.

 

Would like to see Super Hooper win this one & push on.

And hopefully not get locked up.

 

Aus Boxing Update
Bob Arum has cost Jeff Horn up to $ 800 k after failing to budge for a new date for his showdown with Terence Crawford. Arum has refused quests from his promoter Dean Lonegran to stage the fight a week earlier when
there is a spare date. Arum prefers to stay in good with Espn instead of looking after his fighter.
At the moment no PPV or TV coverage because of clash of dates with Rob Whittaker UFC fight.

Let's look on the bright side. We might get Horn v Crawford free to air. Or at least regular Foxtel.

I had to hunt around to find a club showing Horn's last title defence (I don't have Foxtel & therefore can't order Main Event) so it would be good not to have to do that again.

 

One further thought on the Alex Leapai v Lucas Browne scenario.

Both guys would presumably be in frame as potential opponents for Joseph Parker when he resumes.

A decent payday for them there.

 

Leapai would have a good chance at sparking the Browne who showed up against Whyte.....

 

Haven't needed it.

Do get caught out with those Pommie ppv shows early on Sunday mornings though because none of the pubs & clubs will take them.

The good thing is that the national broadband network finally arrived in my street last week (got a text Thursday night). When I get that connected, I'll put Foxtel on as well.

World Am Boxing Champ with a bronze makes his pro debut April 7. And Justin Huni who was too young to
qualify for the CMW games and has set his sight on Gold at Tokyo. Huni became the first Aust to win the World
Youth Boxing Championship at 91 kg. He just completed a training camp in Colarado with the Aust 75 kg plus squad in Colarado.

 

Hey guys - just heard some very sad news. Stiflers mum isn't with us any more. He passed away last month.

Terrific poster, very good natured (a must when posting on the Australian thread) & a mainstay of this thread (and a few other discussion forums about the place).

I've really missed his contributions over the last few weeks & have only just heard the news that there won't be any more of them.

Very sad. Condolences to his family, friends & loved ones.
