thats just DUMB. What hype? Everyone hates him and wants him to lose. who's hyping him besides steward?
Why don't you STOP WATCHING HBO instead, since THEY are the ones doing the hype job. Taylor is just fighting who his team puts in front of him. BTW, has HBO claimed Taylor as some modern great already? Best MW ever? Have they billed him as unbeatable or something? Or are you guys just pissed that HBO likes him a lot and is using him for their own reasons? If the last one is true, your problem is with yourself more then it is Taylor..atsch
Jim Lampley, Larry Merchant, and several misguided members of the boxing media. Have you heard the bashing of BHOP and WINKY on HBO telecasts as of late? They are doing it even in fights that have nothing to with him. All this is to make JT look good in comparison. :deal
If you haters feel like voicing your opinions at least spell his name correctly. JERMAIN Taylor. That is all.
Nothing the man has done has warranted the excuses HBO makes up for him. They call shots he does not land, try to bash Hopkins and Winky because Taylor fought them in the past, and continually praise him no matter what he does, or how bad his performance. And to Boycott HBO means I can barely watch boxing anymore, due to the ****ed up nature of the sport. Any rational person would agree with this, so your mention of me striking against HBO must clearly be some half assed attempt to make something you thought was valid a point. :good
I'm not writing Ouma off, I am flat out saying that he is what he is, a B level 154 pressure fighter, that is a FACT and Karmazin easily dealt with him and would do so again, where is Karmazin's credit? There is none. Karmazin has no reputation, therefore he's not well regarded and can secure no decent fights because he brings no money and is dangerous for anybody at any given night, he'll fade out with no stich of a legacy and is already 34 years old. The hate of the Taylor-Wright-Hopkins threesome is of a larger issue with the sport, because these guys are in a 'set circle' that is regarded as elite and I can name off 10 fighters from 160-175 that would own all 3 of them at this point and these guys get only moderate regard where the threesome gets heavy regard for fighting each other. I hate this type of ****.
People keep mentioning the fact Karmazin knocked Ouma down. Didn't Ouma have pneumonia or something? It would be hard to verify either way, but Ouma doesn't seem like the kind of guy to make excuses, but I could be wrong.
Oh please, like you're the voice of rationale here...Simnple question, why do you hate Jermain for the **** HBO is saying? DO you have some problem making your own mind?
If you read the opening post of this thread, you would realize that I explicitly stated that I do not hate Jermain himself. I credited for having heart and being willing to face good fighters. I simply think he is average at best. I don't hate Jermain for the HBO bull****. But the only way to get them to stop, and to wake JT up from whatever daze he had been in, he needs to get his ass kicked, and quite brutally. This will end all the hype and teach JT and HBO a serious lesson!!!:deal :deal :deal :deal :deal
I gave Karmazin tons of credit for the absolute domination of Ouma. Of course those posts are gone but I'm not one to bull**** about boxing, you can believe me. I'm not so sure there are 10 fighters that own all 3 of them. I dont think any of them are the types of fighters that get owned. They're a tough fight for anyone. Yes one punch can change a fight but the only one of the 3 that you mention that is susceptible to that one punch is Taylor. Wright and Hopkins have solid beards and very good defense and technical ability. I doubt anyone owns them. The only person that I can honestly see owning them would be Calzaghe because he is a very good fighter. As far as the Taylor Pavlik fight, I've already told you my pick on the fight and my reasons but I do acknowledge that Pavlik has the power to hurt Taylor. Anyway, I'm getting off track. Your point was that you dislike the above trio because other elite fighters in their divisions are overshadowed because of their names. Thats a very valid point and I in no way disagree. I hate when world class fighters are ignored. The one problem with that is that Taylor has made every effort to fight the best competition available to him and has no history of ducking anyone. Taylor shouldnt be included in that.
Yes!!!! Because it will cement the fact that they are way too effusive in their praise of Taylor, and the bashing of other fighters who posed a threat to him in the past. :deal It should not be too difficult to understand.:good
