Stephie Daniels: Guys that are older, that take TRT to compete on a younger level, This content is protected is only 33. Is he really old enough to require TRT naturally? Dr. Benjamin: Let's be honest here. How many people who never wrecked their bodies with past steroid use, naturally need TRT at 33? Less than one or two percent. Stephie Daniels: What about a case like This content is protected , where he has stated that hypogonadism is the root of his need for a TUE? Dr. Benjamin: Was Chael Sonnen a big time collegiate wrestler? Yes he was. I'm going to opine and say to you, there's no way in the world you get to the level of collegiate wrestling that Chael Sonnen was at, with hypogonadism. Let me explain to you why. Hypogonadism means that the testes did not produce enough testosterone for one to normally mature. He wasn't on TRT as a teenager. He became this big, muscled up monster and NCAA wrestler with hypogonadism? Hell no. The truth of the matter is, you could never get to that level, because you're not going to have the muscle mass and strength to get you there. They're going to run you over. Your body will not allow you to develop enough muscle and strength to compete at your size. If he has hypogonadism, it's from one thing, and one thing only, because he treated himself with steroids in the past, and wrecked his testes. That's it. http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2012/6/1...iscusses-peds-and-safety-issues-in-mma-part-2 :rofl Dr Johnny Sub 1 Sonnen. :smoke
Dr Benjamin hitting em with the hee again.. Not trying to call Flexb out but i paraphrased almost the same thing regarding his apparent TRT treatment. http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showpost.php?p=13017338&postcount=62 Like Benjamin says these guys are sanctioned cheaters that use this paltry low test excuse as a reason to dope. I'm absolutely with Benjamin that it be banned outright. If you have a serious ailment as low test bottom line is you'd be barely fit to live a normal life much less compete.
Chael without a doubt makes himself the most suspicious because he goes beyond saying he has low T, and literally says he has hypogonadism. Which really doesn't come close to making sense at his age. Some men do have a drop in testosterone levels in their 30's, but their balls sure the **** are shrinking up like that condition causes.
Bottom line is if he did have that condition for a FACT he would not be able to compete much less able to function as normal human being. And secondly if his Testes are ****ed he was clearly abusing gear for a long time hence his problem assuming he does have one. Either way the guy is a bold face liar. Why fans buy in this TRT crap is beyond me.
It also says alot about testing since he's only fought two times in Japan, and every other time he has fought outside of the states has obviously been under testing, since they were more recent.
The testing is a farce. That **** is common knowledge. All they do is a tick a box and say you passed. No one much less for the UFC really cares. Just maintain the status quo..
It's probably like that in most sports. They only catch you if they want to. I swear, i'm starting to think the only sport that's possibly getting it right is baseball. atsch
Of course, but guys actually get popped for it. Unlike the NFL where you rarely ever hear anything about it happening. And when it does, the media refuses to make a big deal about it.
