Do you think draws should exist in boxing? It's gone from every major sports league in the US and it's quite inconvenient in boxing because of the amount of time between fights. Would you have an extra round in case of a draw, something like an OT in boxing? It'd be pretty exciting too.
Draws are fine. Sometimes they are the most just thing that can happen in boxing. However, it does **** me off when they job a fighter and protect a champ with a bs draw.
I think the reason we have such bull**** decisions nowadays is because judges dont score even rds there are such a thing you know, even rds. For me an even rd is one where it is not clear cut who won the rd. Where a rd is too close to call I call it a draw.
This is my argument for how boxing scoring should be 10-9 = Close round where there's not much between them 10-8 = Dominant round where there's no argument who won it (Rigo vs Donaire round 12) 10-7 = if theres a knockdown it starts from here, then 10-6 if there's 2 etc The Canelo/Trout fight would be a bad example to use but something like Floyd vs Cotto Floyd won some early rounds quite easy so it would be 10-8 but then some of the middle rounds got close so would be 10-9 to whoever, then the last round Floyd dominated so it would be 10-8 to him again This way the better man would always in but scores would be very wide
I really wouldn't mind there being 13 rounds (or 11)...... draws can still happen w/ odd# rounds, but they would be a hell of a lot less likely
