Diaz vs Sakurai confirmed. Would have liked to seen the fight a year ago, now not so much. I like Sakurai but the guy is coming off 2 losses. Also the opening round of the LHW GP will be on this card.

Dont be so sure. Sakurai still had enough left Aoki look like an amateur in one round. Stilll should be entertaining while it lasts as both are very hard nosed.

Ill always give Sakurai a small chance because of the power he has. Anytime you beat a guy on the level of Shinya Aoki its impressive but lets look at it that was a 27 secound fight where got to hold down Aoki's head and knee him. It will be hard to get Nick Diaz in that postion and plus that fight gives you a very small body of evidence to work with.

Since then I hate saying it but **** Sakurai looks awful. Zaromskis knocked him the hell out, Gono dominated him and finished him with the armbar and dont forget about David Baron which was only about 2 years ago he busted of Mach and choked him out. Sakurai doesnt event look good on his feet anymore he seems so slow and sluggish. The mans been in lots of wars its likely took its toll on him at this point.

While Nick seems to be at his peak right now and I think style wise this is a wonderful fight for him. Sakurai is giving up a huge height and reach advantage and doesnt have good defense, while that plays into Diaz's hands just look at his beating of Zaromskis for a great example. Diaz is better conditioned and has much better Jiujitsu not to mention its really hard to knock him out if its even possible. Sakurai is a legend and alot of people dont really know that but IMO he is and it isnt arguble but his time I feel is past him.
