Ikuhisa "Minowaman" Minowa via unanimous decision Didn't have many big names but it was a entertaining event. Aoki should have stayed at lightweight, the beating he took was quick and brutal. I was surprised that Sergei lost so quickly even though he didn't come in good shape. The next Dream should be a good one, JZ vs Kawajiri and next round of the featherweight gp (inc return of Kid).
I was disappointed with Kharitonov. He looked out of shape and was subbed by a much lesser fighter. Aoki got owned by Mach. Loved it!
I fully expected Monson to sub him. Kharatinov has been going backwards as a fighter for a while and apparently only trains stand-up these days with an eye to a full time switch to K-1.
Is Monson really a much lesser fighter? His striking skills are subpar compared to Kharitonov - but his submissions - unlike Kharitonov's - are world class.
Ninja completley dominated his fight until the last minute, but came away with a loss. I thought Ninja won, good fight though. I am impressed with Monson's game plan and execution. Tokoro V Taik was awesome, it was like i was watching the fight at double speed.
