It is a shame that this fight never happened, It would have been one of the most entertaining fights of the 90's in the Heavyweight Division, which BTW I don't like so much anymore, actually I hate that division now :( .

I'm sure of one thing, this fight wasn't going to last 12 rounds.

    Who's your pick?

Mine will be tyson if it was at the beginning of the 90's, but after 95 I think Tua would have won.

To hell with the UD poll option...

If you're talking prime for prime I would pick Tyson by UD.

Nice screen name. Now I can't go by my short name anymore, Standing8...thanks...appreciate it...

However, your avatar is much nicer than mine...they'd probably want you around more than me anyway.

Tyson is quite a bit faster and he has much more polished skills. Tua has a strong beard & a great left hook, that's all. Tyson wins prime for prime every time. Probably by UD though since Tua's chin is concrete.

Tyson by wide UD or tko. Too much boxing skill, and most importantly, way, way too fast for Tua.

I'm amazed to see how many think this fight will go the distance, but then again, is just a matter of opinions and this fight will never happen. Though I still think that it wouldn't last 10 rds.

It's only because Tua has such a helmet for a head. Has he ever been KO'd outright?

If faced against a prime Tyson, I think that Tua was too easy to hit to be a threat.

Prime Tyson wins unanimous decision. There is NO way that Tua gets knocked out or the fight stopped by accumulation. Case-in-point look at all the shots he took versus Ike. Tua kept coming.

Tyson would be the one getting stopped if a KO outcome happened. And I don't see him getting stopped, being the superior boxer.

    So..Prime vs Prime

    Tyson UD

    Hell of a fight though!

If this fight would have happened around 1998-2000 it could have been quite close with Tyson maybe having a slight edge. If it had happened in 2001 or later, I might give the edge to Tua. Before 1998, Tyson would be a clear favourite.
