Having watched a young Dempsey like Brandon Rios ko his opponent last night,I would love to see a war between Brandon Rios and Lucas Mathysse at 140-3 pounds...Oh MY ! What say you ESB ?
I'd go with Mathysse, more skilled and more cold and calculating, probably more dedicated, maybe tougher. Would be a great fight, could ell be a very controversial winner if it goes the distance
burt, you've hit the nail on the head. there's actually a few matchups at 140 that i want to see because any way you match these fighters you're going to have a great action fight. rios, matthysse, alvarado, maidana, garcia, soto and even khan make for good fights. i vote for a round robin between all these guys. i do happen to think that rios is tailor made for pacquiao if that is indeed his next fight. it'll be fun while it lasts but pac is too powerful.
Absolultly agree, I would make the trip to see Rios vs Matthysse. Pacquiao loves guys that come plodding forward and that are slow, he would destroy Rios in a Margarito 2 type fight. TBG
