Toney cant keep him off him nor dodge every shot. Qawi gets countered into early retirement but I would give the first fight to him.
To beat Toney you don’t stay on top of him… going right at him and throwing a lot of punches got everybody after Tiberi beat up, Toney would need to work Qawi’s body hard and pick his head up otherwise it’ll be a hard night, Dwight Qawi was a very determined fighter and both guys were hard to catch clean… don’t think there’d be a stoppage, both took shots off HW punchers just fine - If Qawi goes in and tries to just overwhelm him with pressure…Toney… if he goes in with a plan, a plan that doesn’t involve the right hand I think his size and strength advantage at 175lbs would pay off down the stretch and he’d snatch the win - 60-40 Qawi maybe 65-35, I’d be rooting for JT but Qawi was a tough customer.
Qawi would outwork him. Qawi himself is enormously skilled and would win by decision in an excellent technical battle. Qawi's underrated jab would be a decent part of the difference.
