No one has gone past 9 rounds with Pavlik at 160... and I would laugh if anyone compares the LHW Hopkins to the 154lb Martinez . Martinez is slick, but only started boxing when he was 21.. and it shows in his defense... his hands are kept way too low and Martinez would not be able to take away Pavlik's strengths in my opinion.. but William's fanboys won't admit this, because of the whole Pavlik vs Williams debacle I am a fan of Williams and Pavlik, both guys fight the style that I like the most ... but Williams is best at 147 ... Pavlik at 160 is a beast, and if Williams or Martinez step into the ring with Pavlik , it will show that they are not true MWs
Wouldn't you think a slick fighter would have a huge advantage when facing a fighter with slow hands?:huh
I can't decide on this at all. On one hand I can see Martinez' movement giving Pavlik real problems. I don't think Kelly cuts the ring off as well as Paul Williams, not impressed with his footspeed. If Martinez uses the whole ring effectively it could be a long night for KP. But then thinking of the exchanges, Martinez is hugely outgunned. Would be interesting to see the odds for this one.
Not a dream fight, but it would be interesting despite the fact that there are probably better fights to be made.
Pavlik Williams is the better fight, by far. Martinez has already beaten Williams, Williams will not give him a rematch, neither will Williams fight Pavlik! Williams wants the smallest person he can fight, a true midget!
