This was the fight that could have completed their version of the Fab Four (ODLH, Trinidad, Mosley, Vargas). That fight, plus JMM vs Morales, are the biggest missed fights and it makes me sad every time I think of it.

I would think that Trinidad gets the better of Mosley as the fight wears on. Shane’s speed will give Tito something to think about but he was never a mover, which was the kind of style that always gave Tito trouble. Great fight but I think Felix pulls out a clear decision win over a gutsy Mosley.

A war with Mosley winning I think he was more durable than Tito back when he was at 147.

Tito via UD. Am I the only one who remembers how terribly gunshy Shane became after VF? His once decent jab turned in to a pawing range finder while waiting to try and load up on a power shot. Not to mention, he'd feel Tito's power and retreat even moreso IMO. Once Shane lost his confidence losing to VF, he was never even close to the same fighter.

You identified their primes pretty fairly. I agree that Mosley's athleticism would carry the day for him. Trinidad is very technically conventional, but by the same token somewhat basic and easy to predict. Mosley can mix up his attack much better and explode unpredictably. I think he has a slightly higher ring IQ as well in terms of setting traps and switching tactics. Trinidad just cruises in boxer-puncher mode.

Its prime for prime dude, not post Forrest.

To answer your questions @Rumsfeld I think its a toss up, very difficult to predict because as we all saw against De La Hoya, you can't just outslug Mosley or you WILL be beaten to the punch. You have to box him and time him, which Trinidad could do very well, and Trinidad had that unnatural one punch KO power that could turn things in his favor with a single blow. I also don't think Trinidad had the discipline to box for the full 12 rounds and would eventually be eating those Sugar Hooks more than any human should.

One of those "Dream fights" as you very well put it.

I saw that. Good reminder. The way I see it, Shane was in his prime versus VF. He got rocked a couple times from Viper, and that was literally the end of the Shane we used to know. The powerful and confident puncher was not to be seen for another decade. I have no doubts Tito would have been able to do something similar to discourage Shane. Of course, Shane COULD punch. With Tito's poorer balance, can see Shane dropping Tito as well.

I lean towards Tito Trinidad, as he gets stronger and walks Mosely down

Looking forward to watching this. Any plans on doing another top ten ranking heavyweight division video this year?

Shane Mosely eeks out a clear decision @47 and @54. Shanes speed would have befuddled Tito, only way i see Tito having any kind of success against the quicker shane is if somehow a war broke out. Bad matchup stylistically for Tito imo.

Shane was garbage at 154. Tito is arguably one of the best.

No jackass, because he looked bad at 154! Did you even see him fight at JrMW? Or were you too young to remember?

He needed steroids to beat Oscar. And beating a shot Fernando Vargas is actually his best win at 154. Tito beat the prime outta Vargas in one of the best 154 bouts ever. Learn the ****in sport if you are going to post here....
