    Speaking of SRR v Hagler in a previous thread, which is a dream fight, got me thinking of other dream fights regarding fighters from all era's.

    Maybe not a dream fight.... However the prospect of Tommy Hearns vs Floyd Mayweather Jr really interests me.

    BLUF: Hearns either knocks him cold, ala Duran, or wins a lopsided decision.

    You must hate Floyd. Hearns is all wrong for him. First of all, Hearns had a great jab. His jab was good enough to make SRL go to plan B and good enough to outdo Virgil Hill, who had a great jab of his own. Keep in mind, his superb jab precedes a lethal right cross.
    Although I respect Floyd’s skill, I’ve always believed he’s susceptible to 2 forms of kryptonite: a fighter with a great jab (Hearns, Winky Wright, Quartey) or someone with an iron chin, iron will, and good power, e.g., Aaron Pryor, Roberto Duran.

    my favorite "yeah he sure does seem to slow down in the later rounds but hes liable to kill 2 or 3 men before he does" SI July 1978....PIPINO by KO in 2. Now lets talk PIPINO vs. ROBERTO late 1978! Somewhat different it would be from 1983 me thinks :)
