Leonard could be regarded as the #2 Welterweight of all-time for good reason (an incredible standing) and it's every bit to do with his ability and skills as it is his record. I'd feel preposterous to pick Floyd - who was at his best 17 lbs south - over him.

SRL all day long. A natural welter who had all the tools to beat Floyd and beat him handily.

    Floyd's prime wasn't at ww.

Any Ray Robbi stuff from his 1950s middleweight title wars and SRL. You've already got a couple Duran masterpieces (DeJesus trilogy, Palomino) although he was a King fighter for a time (though not at the time of Moore and Barkley). The Brawl in Montreal clip was always a favorite w/ that animated as **** commentary from Mr "Fight Doctor". Short clips of Floyd's pull counter (akin to Pac's straight left, Tyson's right uppercut)... But I'll watch pretty much anything. :deal

    Should've been a public poll.

    Leonard with surprising ease.

  9. this poll alone shows how much smarter

ESB has become since I joined.

before I joined the poll will be around 30-70

    instead of like 10-90

  10. The only possible scenario

where Floyd can beat Sugar Ray

    is if

it took place in the back of a car.

    :DDDD

DID ANYONE ELSE GET MAH JOKE ????

    Why I'd pick Mayweather
I recently watched Leonard's bout with Floyd Sr. Who had a simmillar defensive style to his son. Mayweather Jr. is a better defensive boxer and has better offensive skills than his Father. I didn't score the fight. I keep meaning to, but keep putting it off. There were points in the fight where Mayweather gave Leonard defensive problems. Maybe not enough to win rounds. He also lacked the offense to really do any thing. Mayweather has a great offense to go with a great defense. Mayweather would be able to take advantage of his defense. He also has better over all boxing skills.

    Why I'd pick Leonard.
I'm not sure what Leonard dose better than anyone else. He's more athlete with boxing skills than he is anything else. He's as fast as they come, and tall for a welterweight. His record shows that he can beat guys who are better than he is on paper: Duran (He beat Leonard in their previous bout), Hearns, Bentiez and latter Hagler. The first Duran bout was also very, very close.

I tend to have a few rules when picking fights.
    1. Bet on the more skilled guy: Mayweather. Not by much
    2. Go with the longer (height/reach) guy: Leonard. 3" in height/ 2" in reach. With close skills may be the diffrance in the fight.
    3. from 147-160 never pick against Ray Leonard. I think Mayweather has it as well, but Leonard deffenty has the abillity to just win.

I see this as a very close bout. No one is going to frustrate the other guy. It's going to be about the three above points. In the end Leonard's size and abillity to win no matter what takes the day.

SRL all day baby. . . he wouldn't do him like he did his daddy, but he'd soundly outpoint him for 10-12 out of the 15 rounds.

Not even a close match. Sugar ray Leonard all day.
He was faster than mayweather. Hit harder. Had more exp.
I wouldn't even pay to see it. I already know srl would be the winner.
