    I didn't watch it live but the stuff I saw a few days later looked excellent.


    I felt nervous for Aoki at the end of his fight despite knowing the result beforehand. I was also yelling at Aoki to finish it a few times. :lol:

    So Haggis McJackass, I'm calling you out.

    Why did you vote for "never planning to watch it"?

    Obviously I didn't mean sit through it start to finish without ever touching the fast-forward button. You can skip through all the fake wrestling **** that fooled the likes of Terry and still have an opinion on the actual combat sports competition that took place.

    Hell, even just watching the key bouts counts (the co-main events and maybe a couple more matches)

    Really enjoyed it. Thought Aoki actually looked pretty good for once - showed plenty of killer instinct. LOVED....ABSOLUTELY LOVED...the Josh Barnett pro-wrestling match.

    Aoki was extremely impressive, I though. Totally dominating Kitaoka is no easy task.

    Did anyone else find Kitaoka's laboured breathing when Aoki was going for chokes disturbing?

    I want him to do boxing. Has he ever?

    Really outside of the odd It's Showtime broadcast on HDNet I'm hardly ever going to hear him anymore, with K1 all but defunct and me really not into mixed martial arts these days. (let alone into them enough to stay up late and watch the Japanese cards that he mostly calls)

    He does have some knowledge. He's dropped a few sweet science references while calling kickboxing and MMA.

    I wonder in which order he likes the combat sports? Like, does he mostly do the ones he does because it's his job - or would he still be doing it if say HBO called to offer him Larry Merchant's job? :think

    No mention of Nagashima - Kikuno? was the best fight of the night in my opinion, just one big brawl, love it.
