    Croke Park was actually used for Boxing before, for Ali v 'blue' Lewis.
    Unfortunately the event wasn't promoted well enough and the ground was only at half capacity for the fight.

    You'd need a fight with a demand for at least 60,000 for Croker to even be considered. Otherwise a major fight in Ireland with end up in the new Landsdowne road or Thomond Park.

    Centre Court at Wimbledon would be perfect for boxing though.
    If you were to make an arena specialized for boxing for a large capacity you probably couldn't do any better.

    **** that then. Jesus, we have an umbrella term here that everyone in an area almost the size of Belgium is happy with: West Country. Keep your rivers to yourselves you northern jokers:bart:lol:.

    There have been some good suggestions, though. Wimbledon is a very good shout and a popular fantasy choice:good.

    That's open to interpretation. It's granted you won't believe me, though. I looked for that RJJ vid but it seems to have been removed from the tube:conf. I wonder if the Wimbledon honchos (is it the Lawn and Tennis Association?) would ever let it happen? The roof as well as the pitch being tiny would make for a great venue and atmosphere.

    Anyway, is it a cert that the O2 is London's prime indoor arena now? Lovely building.

    The hypocrisy of Arum shows again, saying UFC are fabricating the amount of buys one of their PPVs did when he said Pac-Hatton did 1.8 million in the US when they did half of that.

    Great rant though. :lol:

    Croke Park would be awesome IMO - it's the best stadium in the UK and Ireland, bar none.

    As a previous poster has said, cricket grounds lend themselves to boxing - I can imagine being on the Western Terrace when a Yorkie wins the WBU title :lol:
