A prime Aaron Pryor Vs a prime Floyd Mayweather at junior welterweight.....who do you think would have won if this dreamfight had ever happened?

no doubt -- floyd ducks the fight saying Pryor's TV rating #s and lack of exposure outside of Ohio make him undeserving of the fight.

Pryor is a real tough matchup for Mayweather with his workrate, chin, and aggression. Mayweather might have the skills and intelligence to win a decision but it sure as hell wouldn't be easy.

Why does everybody on esb seem to trash people for things that may or may not have happened.....and in pryors case....the magic bottle....ok lets say that helped him win....what happened in the 2nd fight.....he was even better the second time in taking argullo out....so lets stop with the trashing of someone i personally consider as one of the greatest light welterweights ever....his management screwed him over and he was a fighter that everbody ducked....and then came the detached retina and cocaine addiction that just ended his career....

It's natural that people would question a fighter whose trainer was caught on film saying "give me the bottle I mixed" and who later went to prison for removing the padding from the gloves. It's also fair to say that Arguello may have not recovered from the Pryor beating as well as the rigors of a long career, he had like 80 pro fights by then. Emmanuel Steward, who seems to hold Pryor in high regard, basically admitted that Pryor told him he and Panama did illegal stuff.

Pryor is considered by most one of the greatest 140 lb fighters ever. The **** about everyone ducking him is a myth though. Maybe at lightweight, but the big names above that, no. He had offers to fight Leonard & Duran. His own decisions, as well as managerial/personal problems, ****ed that up, as well as a unification bout with Mamby at 140.
