 It's a must see mate.

Theres a scene in there where he's throwing a fight and it goes the distance and his brother asks him why the hell he didn't just go down, and he replied that he just couldn't take a dive that way.

Anyway, my initial thought was that Drews was just very poor and reluctant to exchange. I still feel that way but can understand why some people feel otherwise.

Actually a Green UD would have been paying much more than a Green KO I think, so if he were to throw it, a UD loss would have brought greater odds. :D

I still say no though and he was just **** poor at defending his title.

Drews being champ received 70-75% of the total purse and it was a large purse whether he won/lost or it was a draw, so why the **** would he throw a fight if he would of received the exact same amount if he won  and be able to go on and defend again for another pay day, some people in this thread need to get a clue.

The anger is all yours my friend. I'm no Green nuthugger, so keep your centrefold fantasies to yourself.

If you want to take Wegner's word for it that Drews wanted to retire after this fight, then you should also be taking his word that he wasn't motivated and had lost heart. Ie, he probably didn't train hard enough, probably didn't want to risk getting hurt by Green or any other fighter in his last bout, and ran and jabbed his half dozen times through the fight as a result. In no way does that mean Green bought the fight. Get real!!! Not happy with the result? Then go buy some Kleenex but don't suggest Green bought the result with absolutely no proof.

Personally, I take Wegner's word with a grain a salt and while you write your with a frosted point of view.

Sorry, I forgot, you're more of the Mundine-pic-on-the-dartboard kind of guy... My bad :D

Hmmmm who's word do I take? A guy who actually KNOWS Drews or some keyboard warrior on ESB?

You cant HONESTLY tell me that even in round 4 did Drews plan on winning the fight? (which leaves him with 8 other rounds to try and make up the points). Fair enough say in round 6 if Green had won all rounds till then it may be fair to understand that Drews had given up. But that wasnt the case.

Ok, so Green may not have intentionally "bought" the title per-se, but either way Drews had no intention of winning it.

I wouldnt consider my point of view frosted, rather I'd consider it not sugarcoating Greens win ;)

:lol: Thats what i was thinking.

But some of these people think there was a huge outlay of money from dodgey business men who persuaded Drews. I just think he is a terrible fighter.

Well if there was a fix, theres a good chance that there'd be money coming from a 3rd party organizing the fix.

Nrgetic thinks it might be a fix, and he's one guy that might be a good judge on the matter.

U ever thought about it the other way?? As you said win or lose he would have gotten the same amount. Winning = more effort = greater risk of getting hit/KO'd. If he was gonna get paid the same why bother and risk getting KO'd by a renowned power puncher.

Just ask yourself this question....have you ever seen such a ***** effort in any fight let alone a world title fight?

The guy fought like a girl....and ran like a mouse.

How can you explain that?.....and dont give me this Green power story...everybody knows green has power.

im not surprised so many clowns are saying the fight was fixed. if green had paid him off, dont you think he would have insisted drews at least make it look realistic by engaging? the guy shat himself, plain and simple. uli wegner has nothing to do with drews you pinheads.and HTF would nrgetic be a good judge on the matter??? wgat ****ing matter.go back to your CI channel you pissants.green dominated a world champion beyond belief-he mentally and physically blew him away. what about echols not even attempting to hit mundine in the head when it was handed to him on a platter at times in the fight???was that fixed.watch the fight closely and echols does not try and hit chocs head.have you forgotten mundine running like a cat all night from siaca, offering 5 punches a round, getting dropped and giving his title to siaca in front of his hometown fans!!! the guy **** same as drews.was that fight fixed.???

For the record Green looked very average in this fight and even when he was trying to tee off on a guy that was not punching his speed and shot selection were poor.

Green looks like a robot and he will be exposed again if he faces a good counter puncher.

Also for the record I am happy Green has a real world title....its great.

I watched the fight at the casino on the Gold Coast with 50 or 60 people watching. About 80% of these people were calling the fight fixed and saying bull****.
