drills/ advice to keep elbows in

    I am forever being told to keep my elbows in .....anyone got any drills/advice that can help me improve on this.

    Practice the jab, and also the right cross with your arm pressed against a wall. If your elbows hit the wall, you're doing it incorrectly.

    You can also try to visualize looking down the barrel of a rifle when throwing the 1,2. This helped me to keep the elbows in, and the arms very straight.

    I like that one (arm against wall).... All it is is muscle memory and repetition... The more you do it the more your form is going to improve. Try shadow boxing using your lead with a glove under your rear armpit....

    Use the mirrors and you'll be able to see when they're not tucked in.

    just wanted to add something to the barrel comment which I liked...look at your opponent through your eyebrows to insure your chins tucked in. Does that make sense to anyone?:dead

    I get my boy to hold a thin pad under his arm and work the jab and vica versa.
