yeah exactly, spinning and stepping out are basic footwork movements, the best way to get a angle after you finish a combo. The only way he will learn to spin is by practising. You should learn how to spin before you learn to punch because its the best defence you have, using your feet to come in and out and spin of to angles. There is nothing fancy about spinning out thomo, its basic footwork, i thought you would have known this.

Practise spining on the spot and stepping out. You will find your balance then practise doing it while you are moving and then add punches.

Perhaps he's not bending at the knees a little, many people stand too upright.

Yep, teaching noobs is very difficult. Completely different to coaching someone to fight fitness.

He's a good coach, at the last boxing home show 12 of the 13 fighters from the uni one, and the other was robbed.

He more insistant that the front foot is turned to about 2 o clock along with the rear.

I dont have problems standing still btw I tend to have my feet agnled differently anyway. I just have a tendancy when i start throwing punches to get the weight on my front foot as well as having my body out of alignment.

i was taught to have my front foot at about 2 oclock, reason being if you turn your foot it will turn your shoulders and you wont be square on and rear foot pointing straight ahead with my heel in the air sort of resting on the ball of my foot. At first i found this awkward but no it feels very natural.
You need to have your rear foot pointing in the direction you want to punch and pivot as you punch.
