When did boxers first drinking water between rounds? This used to just gargle with it then spit it out.
I was'nt aware many are , i always thought they said it was a sign of fatigue when they start actually drinking the water
Yes but in the Thrilla in Manila, Frazier was still spitting the water out before the 14th round when he was exhausted. So I think back then that water wasn't swallowed under any circumstances.
