People really take the ability to do this for granted

Firstly for a fighter to be able to do this he has to have the following over the other fighter:deal

    Power

    strength

    courage

It also takes courage to this because you are opening yourself for crisp counters:yep

Pacquaio for example has had great success with this over the years once he drives the fighter against the ropes they take solid shots hard ones its at this point they give up and try to survive and some of them are stupid enough to throw back

People who watch but don't fight believe it is easy when it isn't. I tried it back when I was 20 to walk a guy down who was a bit shorter than me. I underestimate that he was stronger and I was benefiting him by getting closer as he backed up, believing that I was walking him down. We got about 2 feet from the corner and this dude buckled the **** outta me with a punch to my solar plexus and fell all over the post and ropes Hatton style.

He played with my psychology and made me believe I was a beast and has control but really it was a trap. It takes skill and IQ to do it properly unless you just have a hard chin and body and can take flush accurate shots.

    Good observation.

Hence why everyone is terrified of GGG, Kovalev and Beterbiev, they're experts at it.

He failed to do this successfully against Mayweather despite throwing the kitchen sink at him with both arms regardless of having 'one arm', you must concede Mayweather showed tremendous heart and skill to withstand what has completely crushed the souls of other great fighters once Pacquiao has a moment.

Yea its not easy as it seems also while you are driving the fighter against the ropes the opponent can use your momentum to hurt you

His great jab tends to drive guys into the ropes, for example: BHop for all 12 rounds of their match.

Like i said the power gives the fighter the chance to drive the guy against the ropes

One of the biggest indicators the fighter has the power advantage is who gets driven to the ropes.............

    Pac,GGG,kovalev,berby all have this quality
