I disagree with most of what he's saying but agree that this goes on alot more then we think. For example, Peterson passed all the normal drug tests even though he was taking an illegal substance. He only got caught by the more sophisticated olympic style testing. That more sophisticated testing doesn't happen in 99% of fights.

i see his point, there will be lots more doing it than we will ever know, and we all know that Roy Jones, Shane Moseley, Holyfield, and Toney were all on them and we do all still support and watch them.

i think cheating in boxing is worse than other sports because of the nature of the sport. but unless there is a way of severe testing before and after every fight then i don't see how it can be totally abolished.

the only other way is to let them take anything they want..

doesnt excuse it but the more research I have done and the more I have read the more convinced I am a lot of top sportsmen are on PED's

from Usain Bolt to Rafa Nadal to Chavez Jr etc.

Unfortunately I suspect many sporting authorities and boards are complicit in this.

    eg Other athletes

On 5 July 2006, Fuentes was indignant that only cyclists had been named and said he also worked with tennis and football players.[52] On 27 July 2006, IAAF was assured by Spanish prosecutors that no track and field athletes were involved.[53] On 23 September 2006, former cyclist Jesús Manzano told reporters from France 3 that he had seen "well-known footballers" from La Liga visit the offices of Dr Fuentes.[54]

    [ame]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Puerto[/ame]

In May 2007 Sepp Blatter, president of FIFA, at a World Anti-Doping Agency meeting in Montreal, was reportedly interested in the contents "of the Puerto file".[55] Le Monde had reported in December 2006 that they had possession of documents of Fuentes detailing "seasonal preparation plans" for Spanish football clubs FC Barcelona and Real Madrid. These plans did not specifically name any players.[56] This news seem to be only rumors, since the French journal lost its trials in 2009 and 2011 against the FC Barcelona because he could not produce any proof of its allegations. In the ultimate judgement, on 14 November 2011, it was condemned to pay 15,000 euros of indemnity for "using false and unverified facts".[57]

totally pathetic drivel he has come out with. Like a murderer saying, do not judge him, because it's going on all over the world. Self pitying arsehole.

Funniest thing is that he couldn't do it with the advantage of juicing up.

I am totally agianst doping and people who want to take advantage. Yet, this fighter made a valid point. It doesn't justify what he did but a double standard exists. For example Julio Cesar Chavez Jr doesn't take tests, yet he is a hero... And this Larry chap whos father is not famous gets 4 years ban.

I believe that doping is spread widely in all pro sports. Some have the tools to get away with it. Others cannot afford it.

I think all of us would have heart attacks if the true number of juicers are revealed.

Not just boxing, but athletics, tennis, football, rugby, etc.

Larry should name and shame now he has nothing to lose.

Don't feel sorry for him though, he must of thought Ben Johnson was robbed.

Double standards or not, it doesn't matter. He got caught. Take it on the chin like a man. Sputing off about how other people are doing it, so it lessens the severity of what he did is childish, the sort of argument you use when you're standing in front of your head teacher.

I've no sympathy. Boxing is a dangerous enough sport as it is, without someone gaining an unfair advantage that could be potentially lethal. He knows this, and to justify it is sick. If i was a previous opponent, i would be VERY pissed off, and be on the war path for larry:deal

If top athletes cheat then fair enough and on their conscience be it.

I personally would hate to win anything after knowingly taken some form of non-natural performance enhancing drug to gain an advantage over my opponent. It SICK! :dead
