Normally I'd say you have a point with this, but it turns out there's a contractual deadline in place. The testing has to start within 120 days before the fightdate, so this is not something that can be postponed much longer.
Ward already agreed on terms and timelines for a rematch, before the first fight. He just wants more money this time, which is logical by point of view of the fighter. Will see if the suits at RNS agree with him
He came to fame with Ward's success and Stephen Breadman vouched for him constantly in his mailbag, I'm not sure he is as good as advertised.
Bro he fcking whispers sweet nothings in there ear. Who doesn't like sweet nothings whispered in there ear
Bingo. People are reading it as Ward referring to Duva, but in reality, it's Roc. He's not going to take a massive paycut for the rematch to a fight he just won, and Roc is reluctant to sign on for another big loss. That's the holdup.
The rematch clause stipulates timelines they are to adhere to in regards of making the fight. Rocnation is apparently not taking it too serious, or getting back with Duva in the time frame they are supposed to.
Thanks. Good info and makes sense. If true, then I agree with Ward. No reason he gets dishwasher pay while a B-level like Golovkin gets $5M for Brook and $15M for Canelo.
^This. I would bet my bottom dollar that HBO isn't too keen on making the rematch. Kovalev's marketability tanks when Ward hands him his second L even more convincing than the first. The Klutcher should go after Stevenson and forget about Ward for now.
No sure why any of these two receive so much hate. They both agreed to one of the biggest fights of last year and fought an extremely close fight. I would prefer either to face Stevenson but if not a rematch will do.
It will only take Kovalev one good KO victory and he is right back. People read too much into a loss. Look at how many PPV´s De La Hoya kept selling, while losing one big fight after another.
LOL. There's nothing particularly impressive about knocking over TOMATO CANs - which is exactly all the Klutcher has done prior to the Ward loss. If he drops two in a row to Ward, nobody with a name worth fighting will be inclined to get in the ring with him. Instead of chasing after what amounts to a certain LOSS - and a hit to his marketability - the TOMATO KAN Krusher should purse a big fight with Stevenson or one of the big name 168lb'ers. There will be NO big fights available to him after losing to Ward in an immediate rematch...
