Um, Kovalev is one of HBOs bigger draws... Not comparing him to De La Hoya, but he has a proven fan base. You really think that another loss to Ward would put him into obscurity?
He is one of the most fun fighters to watch, he will always have an audience.

But then again you are acting like a little brat, so why even argue with you?

Fan base, HBO big draws, doesn't automatically translate to high PPV purchases. Kovalev and Ward are not big draws and promoters lost money on the first fight.

Really? How many PPVs has he sold?

Then why did you bring him up? There is NO comparison to me made between the two. de la Hoya set PPV records. The Klutcher sets records for knocking over TOAMTO CANs...

Where was this "proved fan base" when it came time to pony up the $70 for his PPV debut?

He's already obscure. Taking a second consecutive loss to Ward - especially given than it'll be more convincing next time - will certainly have a negative effect on his marketability. Mike Tyson he is NOT.

True. He will always have an audience. Just not one big enough to support his PPVs..

    Lol.

So says the guy who likes to swing from another man's nutsack...

Most people scored the fight to Kovalev by literally one single point.

To say he "physically can't win" not only makes your opinion biased, it makes your opinion stupid.

Harold Lederman had Kovalev winning by 116 - 111, I had it even wider.................you can't win a fight by holding, trying to headbutt, grabbing your opponent's leg, etc. Kovalev fought, SOB did not................the crowd booed the criminal decision. Wonder if SOB will get his judges, referee, boxing commission, once again? SOB needs to be flushed down the toilet and back into the sewer from shich he came! Kovalev won the first fight and he will knock SOB out in the rematch.............

If Golovkin is B level and handled Kovalev with ease then what is ward who lost easily to Kovalev?

So hes not a PPV star big deal. But he regularly draws over 1mil on HBO.
I mentioned Oscar because he kept loosing fight but fans always stuck with him.

    He is far from obscurity.

Kovalev hasn't lost anything people the world over know he beat ward. If kovalev is denied a rematch it will further confirm his superiority over ward and this will be explained in history books and ward will forever been known as avoiding a rematch . A loss on paper is just that a loss on paper the fight is forever out there to view and ward and his fans can't erase it.
