For those of you who think Floyd is the first person to ask for blood testing. We all know the drug testing in Professional Boxing. Zab asked for both he and Mosley to take blood test. Enjoy:

Tyson suspected Holyfield of taking PED's and Holyfield did a blood test.

It is my understanding that Oscar asked Floyd to do additional testing as well and that he did. Please correct me if I am wrong about that.

Mosley never tested positive while on PED'S.
Now please don't turn this into a *******/***** thread! What do you think of the drug testing in boxing and what should change?

If the commission wants to do it, it should be done universally. If not, then its the fighters' prerogative.

I want to pound that milf.

  5. you're wrong. it's a fighter's prerogative to ask for blood testing. if the other fighter doesnt like that particular clause in the contract he doesnt have to sign, but itll look mighty suspicious.

That's what i'm saying, its also a fighter's prerogative to say no and keep his opponent uneasy thinking that he is.

    You already have!

As for what I think of drug testing as a whole? I think if people are that concerned with current testing procedures not being adequate enough, then the commissioners should apply these random-tests to every fight out there. People talk about boxing needing this type of regulation more than any sport, then why limit it to just the high-profiled bouts? Why do the high-paid fighters get to be protected from potential cheats, whilst the lower-ranked fighters don't?

It's simple. Let the governing bodies, commissioners etc, dictate these kind of things. If they decide all fighters must abide by these rules, then I'm all for it. It's they who should be implementing it. Not a man who fights once every two years, doesn't even give a **** about the sport, and only applies these demands to who he wants to.

What do you all think about a universal policy of like 3 random urine test and two random blood test while in training and random urine test while not in training? For example: If a fighter who just fought last month or 3 months ago and they get called in for a random urine test or blood test I think that would be a great thing for boxing.

I think that'll be great too. Providing all fighters are subjected to this.

Wasn't that the time Schaeffer said "no additional testing, the testing boxing do already is perfectly fine" (or words to that effect). :rofl:rofl:rofl

Oh yeah I am talking for all fighters! I have always said from the beginning that I think all fighter should do random testing both blood and urine even when they are not fighting or in training!

Exactly. People are pushing these demands only when it suits them.

I personally think PED use is running wild in boxing and that the networks and sanctioning bodies are aware of it just like in baseball but that is just my opinion!

I'm not entirely sure. It's not something I've looked into properly. But I kinda find it hard to believe the networks and sanctioning bodies would let it run freely. I don't know.
