something ive always wondered, do they do drug tests before amateur fights? im not a pot head but every once in a while, i smoke a little. I know it takes about a month to get marijuana out of ur urine, and 2-3months for it to get out of the blood stream. I dont really plan on doing it again, but i was just wondering if in the past i wouldnt have been able to fight cuz of dirty urine.
nah i dont think so, it doesnt usually take that long to get out of your system either. cuz mary jane is deposited in fat cells so if your fat it can take up to a month to be passed but skinnier people can be done with it in a week and a half. and especially if your sweating and working out a lot, its going to pass a lot faster. oh yeah and they can only pick it up to this long in urine because it only stays in your blood for about a week. oh yeah niacin doesnt work. :thumbsup
They test an the national level. i.e. US National, PanAm Games, National Golden Gloves, tournament like that. I don't think any of you have anything to worry about. Or you could just not do drugs and make it easy on yourself.
I dont see how it could stay in your blood for that long. If the actual THC is still in your blood then you would still be high. There is probably some kind of secondary byproducts that can stay around longer that they can test for. A week or so like someone else said sounds more reasonable, though I dont know much about it. Its the hair tests that can detect use for longer periods of time. Though they will almost certainly use the standard urine tests. amy- sorry to hear about your cancelled fight. you have bad luck
A blood and urine sample is taken before your first fight, and on the anniversary of your first testing each year thereafter at all levels. I have a feeling the blood test is more aimed at viruses and infections that may be blood borne, whereas the urine sample is more after any naughties youve been on. This is in Australia, may be (and probably is) different elsewhere.
