So looking back... I often see people saying things like: "Don't disrespect Mosley he's a warrior!"... Well... He's a known cheat... I know it's hard not to like the guy, he's a likable guy, gave us lots of good matches... My question, how much should we hold against him? His best career performances were probably aided by steroids... So I dunno, I'm somewhat split on my thoughts on Mosley... Well, and other fighters... Vargas was also a known user, as well as many others... What are your thoughts? And what about for example rooting today for a guy like Mosley?

Meaning the fact that he's used steroids to gain an unfair advantage over his opponents (cheated) doesn't bother you at all? What about loading your gloves, would you hold that against Margacheato for example? The fact that he might have cheated vs Cotto and all others does not bother you at all either? Fact that in both case could have caused serious injury to his opponents does not bother you in any shape or form?

roids or no roids shane is a great fighter...I doubt his best wins were aided that much by the juice...i doubt his record would look any different if he never took em

    :scaredas:

    Seriously???

Like that baseball guy who hit all those homeruns and broke all those records, it didn't help him much? He probably would have done the same without roids? What's the point in using roids then?

I guess that's my 2nd beef with it, who knows how good or how average he'd have been without roids? He might have lost some earlier fights he won, he might have never been called Sugar, might never have won a world title... Who knows! The whole stereoid thing puts the whole thing into question... Like Margacheato, how many of his previous fights were fought with loaded gloves? How many did he win because he had loaded gloves? Anybody really believes this was his first time using them?

If you actually follow shane's career... it is really clear that the only fight he took steriods for was the De La Hoya rematch and he did NOT know they were illegal. Shane is a true warrior and a credit to boxing. We need people like Shane Mosley in our sport.

If Pac`s team do nothing regarding Mosley`s using PED or steroid
Pac will be defeated like Margarito.

How so? Mosley was always a fighter who relied on speed and power.. How do you know he wasn't taking them before? It's not like all of a sudden he became Superman...

I agree that he's a warrior though, he has will, heart, he has guts, courage... Something steroids can't give you. Yet, how can you know for sure he didn't know, and how do you know he wasn't taking them before? You say it was really clear... What was really clear about it? What made it really clear?

At 39 now I think he is, it might be the only way we'll see a competitive fight... I don't want to see Mosley run out of juice after 2-3 rounds and then get seriously hurt by Pac...

Just seems like a very bad matchup for him, but at this point, it's all about the money, and maybe for Shane it's more than that, he's certainly proved he's a warrior and really cares about boxing and his legacy... Let's hope he doesn't get hurt... That's my biggest wish, **** going against Pac is dangerous... Fraud won't even get in the ring against him and he'd have a better chance than Mosley to win...

Honestly...it does annoy me a bit. However I tend to think the BALCO thing coincides with his losses to Forrest and move to 154, a period where he was quite poor (not that this in anyway excuses him.) The guy is a warrior though, I can't comprehend how it must effect you knowing there is a guy (Forrest) who you just cannot beat no matter what.

He also lost to de la Hoya. Guess The Verve were right, the drugs don't work after all. Lets also take Vargas for example, the kid roided up in the biggest fight of his life yet I've seen him called a warrior a number of times...he too was coming off a harsh loss. I sometimes wonder how badly these guys want success and what they are willing to sacrifice for it.

If you want to make boxing fans forget your shady past, go find a way to get your AZZ beat. First thing people did after marg got his AZZ beat by emmanuel was praise marg for all his "heart". Just before the AZZ beating, marg was public enemy.

The fact that marg even attempted to cheat puts his heart into question. He must not be that sure of himself or confident.
